We picked the land and sea 11 day tour so we could appreciate Alaska's way of life as well as seeing animals in the wild and the ice glaciers. We accomplished everything we had wanted to see and do. Princess Cruise gave us a great experience on land and sea. They have their act together from the time you land and until you disembark. we purchased the meal ticket and saved a bundle. The food was ...

Do Not purchase internet time on the cruise. Expensive, painfully slow, and you use up minutes when you are kicked off server. We booked an excursion to see bears in Ketchican and did not see any. The guide told me that they do not come out of woods until mid August when the salmon start their move up stream. Try to avoid the buffet and eat in the dining area to have a much better experience ...

A princess representative met my wife and I at the airport when we arrived and took us to the hotel. The next day a Princess representative picked us at the hotel and took us to the ship. When we arrived in Seattle after the cruise we were taken to the airport. That is a huge convenience, especially at our age ( 79 & 76 ). The Alaska cruise was great and both of us would make that cruise ...

Leaving out of San Francisco is very convenient for us as we can drive to the pier in less than an hour. Grand Princess is a little too large for me, but that is a personal preference. It is however a beautiful and well maintained ship. Food was great and service even better. Cabin was smaller than I remember. Love having a sofa to sit on. We aren’t really into the entertainment so not much ...

There are no words for the beauty of Alaska. We were very fortunate our Ship Captain was able to get us very close to glaciers that many are not able to experience. Our first stop was Ketchikan; wish we had had more time there. We did the 7am to 11am Ketchikan Salmon Fishing Excursion, which I do not recommend unless you are just wanting your own salmon. The only part you play is watching the end ...
