We honeymooned on the Crown in 2007. Had a great time sailing from NYC to the Caribbean and back. That trip kick started our love of cruising. So this trip was a homecoming of sorts.
How was it 16 years later? While the ship has obviously aged and shows some wear here and there, overall it seems to be actually improved. The tech added throughout the ship is brilliant. The medallions worked ...
This was our first Princess cruise - and it won't be our last! We have cruised Carnival and NCL and usually choose our ship based on the itinerary, price etc... Several family members encouraged us to try Princess so when we saw the repositioning deal for the Majestic from Vancouver to LA it was a great time to try it - we chose a balcony cabin with Princess Plus. We made a $200 bid to upgrade ...
We booked this 4 night Alaska Preview cruise because Airfare was less to fly to Vancouver than it was to Southern cruise ports. My sister was interested in doing a longer Alaska Land & Cruise tour package so this sampler cruise was perfect way to get her to see a Vancouver, Ketchikan, and Seattle. Honestly, this cruise could not have been more perfect! Weather was so perfect every day, I packed ...
Apart from a couple of days of wet weather (could not be helped!) our Alaska cruise was wonderful!
The food was fantastic (the best cruise food ever - some amazing choices) and the entertainment was also top drawer including a couple of great shows, and a guy who makes a piano sing and folks smile with his repertoire - Liam Stewart.
Our Buble singer wasn’t quite at the right pitch but even ...
We thoroughly enjoyed our Alaskan cruise on the Crown Princess. The Crown has a promenade deck which allows you to walk around the whole ship. The Crown Princess is an older ship but well maintained and clean. Our stateroom was a Vista Suite aft on the Dolphin deck. The food was amazing. We ate every night in the Reserve Collection dining Room. I highly recommend it - never having to wait ...
First cruise for me and 2nd for hubby (did his 40+ years ago if that even counts). Read all the negative reviews and although I don’t have anything to compare we had a great cruise. Our room was comfortable and I felt quite modern for an older ship. Everywhere was so clean, better than on land hotels in my opinion. The entire crew was so lovely and friendly. Did try to do as much as possible and ...
Everything was fantastic. The staff, the food, and the entire experience. All of our excursions was booked through Princess. If you book through the cruise line, you are guaranteed the ship will not leave without you. I definitely recommend the salmon bake in Juno. I did not see any whales, but my husband did. I did see several orcas, and seals. I did purchase a some art from the cruise. I ...
I am impressed with Princess. We sailed on the Enchanted Princess in February and just did the Majestic Princess in a 12 day Land/Sea cruise. Ships are almost identical. Everything was great--good food in the dining room and buffet, good comedians, great Enclave spa, good ports, no trouble disembarking or embarking, great bartenders, great room steward, etc. We especially liked the Medallion. ...
My wife and I had done Alaska about 15 years before and loved it so we decided to return. We flew in the night before and stayed at the Blue Horizon on Robison St. It was one of the more reasonable places to stay and there are lots of restaurants nearby and a nice walk to Stanley Park or lots of shops. We took an Uber to the ship and the embarkation took some time but the line never stopped ...
