A very good cruise

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Crown Princess

Left from Le Havre France. Did not get a very good send-off from the crew as only 300 passengers got on here (vs. Southampton - 2300 & Dublin - 300). Kinda surprising - would have expected more attention, but embarkation seemed like an afterthought. Loved the ship, the dining, the service & the shore excursions. Great variety of food. We ate mostly at the buffet but did have a couple of dinners in ...

Our second time on Magnifica this year-this time for 10 days-and we had an equally fabulous time! Entertainment was great and we loved the dancing each night. We were delighted that Kalid had been promoted since our last visit in May- this young Moroccan man is talented, great with customers and is going places! Hope to see him as a Cruise Director one day! The whole entertainment team work ...

My husband chose this cruise for the price and the fact it was a Mediterranean company as I’m Italian. We had a lovely time and to be honest the year before we went on celebrity and were really disappointed to be honest. We have two boys and really they need activity and kids clubs to keep them occupied. The Magnifica really did supply and fill that need without any hidden extra costs which ...

Spotless Ship, 1st Class Staff

Embarkation was very quick and smooth. Arrived at Southampton after staying over night and parked up, quick easy system. Walk short 2 minute walk to Departure Lounge, straight through to passport control and security then walked onto the ship. Very impressed with the whole MSC embarkation system, they have it nailed. The ship is spotless, plenty of lounges and cocktail bars to visit. Staff ...

Thank you to previous review writers of this cruise ship. Our expectations were fairly low with all the negative reviews, but we still booked because we liked the ports . Surprise, we loved the ship. I should point out I’ve also travelled on bigger ships with the Celebrity and Norwegian lines. Many complained about the meals. We found them delicious ( except for one night) Some complained ...

Disappointing

Wanted to try a new Cruise line. Embarking close to our location. “All Inclusive” drink package excludes many items, hard to know what’s included. Tiny library lacking any press, hardly any books etc. Restaurants (included in the price ) are trying to sell lobster and steak for x-tra 19-22 €. Sahara and Oasis bistros: except for fresh fruit are not worth a visit. Aurea ...

Would have been excellent but for atrocious passenger handling logistics!

We choose this cruise for the excellent itinerary, quality of Princess food, cabins and amenities. I would rate this cruise excellent in all these categories. The passenger logistics in handling the movement of passengers on or off the ship and other required on-board activities, such as customs, were so bad that my wife and I will be very hesitant about taking any future Princess Cruise. ...

I had never been on a cruise before as they are not really my thing( I like my own agenda when i'm on holiday) but I agreed to go with my sister and nephew at the last minute as her husband couln't get the time off work. To start with checking in and boarding the ship was quite simple long queues but no worse than at an airport. Once on the ship rooms weren't ready not a problem as we were hungry ...
