"The enhanced measures and daily begging for people to wash their hands continued for the entire

1-10 of 124 Canary Islands Ventura Canary Islands Cruise Reviews
Had cruised on Ventura pre covid and 10 plus other cruises, reasonable standard not wow but ok . Now its standards have fallen so far, cost cutting to the bones ferry companies provide better. Cabin cleaned bed made if requested with card in lock once a day no turn down.,Bathroom no apparent cleaning as nothing ever moved mould in tiles grout coming out..Lack of vegetables on board asked for ...
We have just returned from Cruise N336 which was the 2023 Christmas Cruise to the Canary Islands
with P&O Cruises aboard the MV Ventura where we had a Suite, one of the best rooms on the ship.
Unless things change however, has been our last cruise with P&O.
Prices are increasing at a rapid rate yet there are constantly cutting services, they are no longer value
for money or premium. ...
I chose to go on this cruise for many reasons.
Having sailed on Ventura several times the level of standards have dropped significantly. Entertainment wasn't too good with the exception of the Four Harps, Ben Kearsley and Morecambe and Wise tribute. The comedians were mediocre. The headliners same old with the exception of The Christmas show.
So many things have been taken away from ...
Having cruised many times ith P&O we were appalled at the fall in standards. The quality, eating habits, behaviour and particularly the dress of many passengers was dreadful. On ' strictly' formal nights, passengers were allowed into the Cinnamon Restaurant iny any old attire, One man, jacketless was allowed in in just a shirt and trousers. It was even worse in the Waterside self service ...
Having cruised on Ventura twice, pre Covid, we thought we would sail on her again. We had read some comments on here from others stating that standards had slipped on all fronts. However, we kept an open mind.
We used the online check in and travelled down by coach. We were on the ship within twenty minutes of arriving at the terminal . Our luggage arrived outside our cabin promptly . ...
Before heading off on this cruise I read so many negative reviews of Ventura and it made me very worried about what we were likely to experience. I needn't have worried! My husband and I had an amazing time from the moment we stepped on board. Yes, the ship is older than many others and lacks the bells and whistles that the latest ships can boast, but it's still clean, attractive, and offers ...
No fly from southampton appealed to me. Embarkment and coach transvers very good.
Front line staff (waiters restaurants / buffets) all bar staff. Very professional with overall good service.
Inside cabin very clean with good attendant.
Food in complementary restaurants poor. Food in the buffet very good with quality meats etc.
First 3 days at sea just piped music no live entertainment ...
This was our 4th P & O cruise but first on Ventura. Yes things have changed since Covid and yes the ship is one of their older ones in the fleet but we had a lovely time on our 14 night Canaries trip. We had a large balcony, room was clean and tidy and bed comfortable but appreciate the balcony itself could have done with a spruce up. Service of our rooms was great with ice bucket filled ...
Have recently returned from P&O cruise on Ventura to Canary Islands Having been on this ship twice before, and having cruised with P&O for the last 10 years, there has been a marked decline in standards. There is less staff in all areas and they were less experienced.
The buffet was disorganised, no trays for carrying food which posed a safety issue while carrying hot plates. Tables left ...
Having only been on one cruise before (Royal Caribbean), we chose P&O this time round because several friends and family had recommended them, and we hoped there would be a lot fewer kids on board compared to our RC experience.
We were actually really surprised at how low quality the P&O product was in comparison.
The food was, at best, mediocre. Dinners at the Freedom Dining restaurants ...
