We were looking forward to getting back into cruising for a long time and the prospect of cruising on the Oceania we had come to love was very exciting.

We stayed in an Oceania Suite where we enjoyed the personal staff who cared for us and our suite. They were absolutely wonderful. In fact the entire crew was wonderful. They were always smiling, pleasant, professional and very eager to help. We did not receive our luggage from Lufthansa until the seventh day of the cruise. My first cruise with Oceania was in 2015 on the Riveria. Terrific itinerary from Athens to Barcelona. We enjoyed it immensely. Not so much years later. I felt stuck in a time warp with the EXACT SAME formulaic routine. Boring !

We initially selected this cruise back in 2019, based on the itinerary especially calling into St Petersburg for 2 nights, but of course this was cancelled.

We have cruised many times with various companies and found the Marina is still a fabulous ship showing no signs of age despite a visit to dry dock being scheduled.
We had a veranda cabin which had a full bath and separate shower and the cabin was the size of some penthouse cabins on other ships. The mattress and bedding were superb.

Have sailed with Regent several times and this was one of the best. Really enjoyed that we went to very different and more undiscovered ports. In two of the new ports it was apparent they don't see many ships and we had local marching bands presenting farewell band sendoffs.
