This cruise left Sydney at the end of February when the coronavirus was just getting started and had not really impacted most countries. There were less than 30 cases in Australia and less than 100 in the United States at that time. The day before we departed we received an email from Norwegian that stated our itinerary had been changed and we would be compensated with a 25% refund and 25% credit ...

After receiving an upgrade to a penthouse suite our cruise was absolutely amazing. I would challenge any cruise to serve up a better meal than that of Le Bistro. Every dining experience was excellent even the regular buffet. The staff were ever so attentive and to my wire's dismay the bar staff went all out to ensure that you were never thirsty. I would encourage every cruiser on this ship to ...

This is our sixth cruise, second with Norwegian, the others have been with Royal Caribbean. I haven’t submitted a review before, but have spent a great deal of time reading others before booking previous cruises so thought it’s my turn to give some (hopefully) helpful tips. We cruised with Norwegian Jewel, in penthouse suite 9000 which is at the forward of the ship, sailing from Sydney to ...

The ship was just recently renovated and everything was beautiful and clean. The cabin was adequate in size (we had an inside). Dining at the buffet was outstanding. Dining in the restaurants was sometimes not good. Chicken was dry and fish overcooked. The desserts were superb.. The entertainment was varied and good, however the daytime activities such as the lectures were boring and badly ...

I chose this cruise because of the private watercolor class which was offered to me on full cruising days through Art in the Mountains. Because of that class, I was busy on all of the cruising days. We came early to Sydney and stayed a couple more days after leaving the ship. This were great days of exploring the city and learning about Australia's history. I felt like the excursions were ...

Decent cruise on NCL

Newly refurbished NCL Jewel is a great ship, aside from the cabin's bathroom, the whole ship feels really new and fresh, doesn't seem like a 13 year old ship at all. Service and dining was nothing impressive, but it wasn't too bad. Entertainment was some of the best I have ever seen! Embarkation was pretty average, nothing like the smooth and amazing experience I had on RCI but it was okay. ...

I really loved this cruise ship had never been away with Norweigan before and after reading the reviews was a little worried. We chose an interior cabin as we got it at an awesome price. We only use cabin for sleeping anyway. The cabins were comfortable and very clean couldn't complain. The food in the dining room was just great. The buffet ok but you would be really whining if you couldn't ...

Norwegian Jewel departing Sydney on December 1st 2018 to New Zealand for 12 nights. My husband and I booked only 6 weeks prior to the departure date and managed to get a great deal on a mini-suite. The ship had been in dry dock immediately prior to our cruise so everything was fresh and clean. Embarkation - the embarkation and disembarkation processes were extremely quick and painless. ...
