1-10 of 84 Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Norwegian Epic Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise Reviews
This was our 4th Norweigan ship and cruise. Out of 20 cruises sailed this was the worst ship we have ever been on. The venues for the shows were small, the layout of the ship was noisy, and the food was cold or overdone, more often than not. The entertainment was repeated and not that great of quality. A large casino , but prices of buyins were high so tables sat empty a lot. Speciality ...
This ship is very old and outdated. Poor condition, rust on bathroom wall and the balcony area. The interior was old and worn out and not very appealing as it was dark and dreary. While inside the ship during the day you felt like it was nightime. the food was just average with limited places to eat lunch or breakfast. The entertainment was just so-so and limited for a long 16 day cruise. The ...
We chose this cruise because it was a great price and we loved the ports prior to the transatlantic crossing. Here are some bullet points of our disappointment:
When I entered my stateroom there was duct tape on the vent in the shower room and the toilet room.
There was lots of rust all around the ship, including our balcony.
There were ceiling tiles falling down in one of ...
The wonderful crew, fun excursions and for the most part good food could not make up for the most uncomfortable cabin I have ever experienced. I had been on this ship before but in an ADA cabin for someone with a motorized wheelchair. On this cruise I was in a regular balcony cabin. We had not gotten an ADA cabin but told Norwegian that we needed to be near the elevator because my cabin ...
This was our first cruise, an 11 night Eastern Mediterranean itinerary, & we booked it for a great price without knowing too much about the industry at first. Reading other reviews of the Epic on this site we were slightly worried, but we needn't have been - the ship is fantastic, & we couldn't have asked for better.
Looking at the detail of others' criticisms it seems many of the issues being ...
My wife, a friend, and I just completed the 12 day Mediterranean Cruise on the Norwegian Epic which left out of Rome on November 8.
My wife and I have been on NCL a couple of times in the past and had a great experience - wish I could say the same for this trip.
The Epic can hold over 4500 passengers; but, there are only 2900 on board (just over 1/2 capacity).
Below is a list of issues ...
We first sailed on the Epic in 2016 and had a great time. The entertainment in particular was brilliant and the staff were great so we looked forward to returning for a 12 night European cruise this year. The deterioration was obvious from the minute we got on to the ship, no welcome from a crew member and glass of fizz. The entertainment, which had been so good before, was the biggest ...
We’ve cruised about 14 times on Orincess, Celebrity and RCL. I think that the industry has changed a lot since our first cruise together in 2002 so, it’s hard to fairly compare that first one with this one. NCL can be nicknamed “Nickel-and-dimed” Cruise Line. Initial fares are unbelievably low and that should have been a red flag. They hawk their free drink package but sock you for 20% ...
There was a very long queue embarking the Epic at Marseilles. I would say 1 hour 40 minutes waiting time. We are Platinum members so we got into the Priority queue but it still took 45 minutes (why do they make you fill out the paperwork online beforehand and submit photographs but insist on doing this again at the port). Such a waste of time. We noticed lots of cutbacks onboard. Not as much ...
I had an aft-facing balcony on D12 and my nephew was in another cabin close by.
First and foremost, we had a fabulous time. The ship is weirdly designed, with inadequate public space. Walkways are too narrow, always felt like you were climbing over people. On pool deck, it was very congested trying to walk along dodging stage, audience, pool, bar, and very tight rows of loungers. I ...
