"The floor plan/flow of the ship was very choppy, we'd exit the main dining room on the sixth floor where there was no place to go except up on the one elevator.I've seen this before and its a really good idea, not sure why all ships don't use it, and that is a sketch of the ship on the freestyle daily which is the daily schedule so when you need to be someplace on the ship you get an idea of where your going...."Read More

Food is generally very bland. This is true for the Garden Cafe (self-service buffet) as well as the "included" restaurants. There are daily themes in the buffet such as seafood, asian or Indian, but nothing was outstanding. There was a selection of Indian dishes every day, but I did not see a single Mediterranean dish let alone theme. The service at the included restaurants was good but very slow ...
We were on the NCL Dawn for a 14 day Caribbean Cruise. There is lots to report regarding our disembarkation. It was the absolute worst ever. It seems there was a big problem getting the normal gangway in place when we arrived at the port of Tampa. The number of passengers who could get off was very limited as the Dawn crew resorted to using the level 4 very steep and narrow gang ways instead. ...
Had friends that booked this cruise, so we joined them. This was our 4th cruise in the past 12 months. The embarkation was poor, long lines, had to repeat much if the info we had entered online, take pictures again, etc. Took an hour to get on board. Cabin wasn't ready, bags didn't show up until 5pm. The flowers my wife ordered for us and our friends never arrived (the card did). Guest ...
Where do I start....
Embarking time was 12-12:30, we arrived at Tampa port and line ups were very long, either passengers disregarded their time slots or NCL was very disorganized with registering passengers. We finally got through the process and arrived on the ship but had to wait for our room to be ready. Went to Garden Cafe (buffet) only half the buffet was open. We had an Oceanview ...
Sadly, NCL Dawn is just a vehicle to get to fun port destinations. As a pretty frequent cruiser, and latitudes member I must say we have seen a steady decline in NCL. The Dawn does not really honor the latitudes program that they promise to loyal repeat customers. The service is good, despite the obvious staff cutbacks. There are no longer a towel monitors and people were grabbing 4 or 5 towels ...
Chose this ship for its length and NCL’s included packages.
Have been on previous NCL ships, last one was when Covid was just hitting the states.
We were a group of 13 all in our 50’s-60’s and we felt like the young group on board, just hit a very elderly cruise that’s all.
Embarking was easy enough.
Outside deck service is near nonexistent, you’ll end standing in line, waiting to ...
My First time on the Dawn and the first cruise in three years because of pandemic. Norwegian is a great line, but the Dawn needs improvement. The ship seemed short-staffed. Infection control measures appeared to be nonexistent. Only a few staff members were masked. The washy-washy disappeared somewhere during the cruise. Antiseptic containers were sometimes empty. Restaurants didn't seem to care ...
We chose this 11-day cruise because of the itinerary, 5 ports of call and 5 sea days and we wanted to explore Key West as one of the ports. We have been on the Dawn a couple of times before and enjoyed the smaller ship and the exclusive wine bar. Embarkation in Tampa went smooth, we arrived around 1:30 pm and went through priority access quickly as Platinum Latitude members. The buffet was open, ...
Hi Everyone,
I finally was able to take my first vacation in 10 years so I decided to take a cruise on an older ship, but not too old because I didn't want to travel on a floating city like the ships that are being built now a days. These ships can hold 5000 + PAX and 2500 crew. I also wanted to leave from a port that was relatively close to my home. I live in Florida and we have quite a few ...
Cruise ship is very poorly maintained. Our cabin had numerous issues, none of which were fixed. Food was mediocre at most times. We had a few good meals in the MDR. We had cruised on the Dawn about 3 years prior, and this was our 10th+ cruise on NCL. The staff, for the most part, did not care. Very poor customer service. Entertainment was, surprisingly, pretty good, but it did not make up ...
