Norwegian Cruise Line Encore
SUSTAINABILITY
Does good job with sustainability despite being a cruise liner with 4500 passengers on our sailing. Daily paper use is massive. Each cabin gets at least 4 sheets of paper daily. Many one sided. Only paper straws used, even those discouraged if possible. Food options are endless, but no disposable plastic except plastic wrap for room service. ...
Free internet is a joke.
Priority access is a bigger joke. Paid $179, only to be told on arrival” it’s raining, not available today”. Then on disembark “ oh, priority not available today”.
Be very careful on your excursions, they don’t tell you it’s a 3 hour round trip drive. Left out of Costa Maya, we were never told it was an hour and a half to get to the raft excursion until we ...
I’m writing this review 5 days into the cruise vacation before it’s even ends, because I’ve had enough from it.
It’s a new ship, so it’s super clean, no doubt about that.
The design is so beautiful, we loved the interior of our balcony cabins (connecting). However, the balcony faces the infinity pool directly, so no privacy whatsoever, shame we didn’t know about it in advance.
Quality of ...
We were looking for a ship with a thermal spa. Wound up with a Haven Spa suite on the Escape. We can't say enough about the elevated level of service. From the avoidance of the long lines to board the ship to the personal butler service that attended to all our needs. Renson was our butler and seemed to always be in eyesight in case anything was needed. He was awesome. The private Haven Lounge ...
I was excited to sail on the new Prima. She had only been sailing a few months when I took my cruise last November 2022. I booked through CAS and upgraded to a Balcony. I traveled solo and met up with the other solo travelers on the first night. They were about 25 to 30 people and our solo host helped us with reservations. We ate together 2 of the nights. I met my new cruising buddy and we are ...
We chose this cruise to sail with friends. Enjoying their company throughout Thanksgiving week was the highlight of the trip. Overall, the ship is profoundly unappealing. Service was mediocre but got the job done. NCL changed our reserved cabin to an inferior location before sailing with NO notification to either us or our travel agent. I was advised that it was done by their internal ...
Overall this was a great cruise for me. First time using a Solo room. I was really happy with the Solo room and space. Definitely my new preferred way to travel so I don't have to worry about finding a friend to go on a cruise with me when I go with other friends.
I had the best bartenders ever on this one. I had some really good ones before on NCL cruises. But the ones working at the whiskey ...
We chose this cruise because we wanted to sail out of Port Canaveral on a Norweigian ship for Thanksgiving. We may have mistakenly thought that since it was a huge ship that it would be more luxurious than smaller ships have been on Norwegian cruise lines but were wrong. First of all we were waiting in cars for over 4 hours to even board the ship due to a problem with ship leaving NY. By the time ...
We always wanted to cruise on a brand new ship, so we booked the Prima for one of the first voyages. Embarkation was fast and easy as a Sapphire Latitudes level, but it was just as fast for everyone else. There were sufficient agents checking everyone in. Once on board we immediately headed to interactive screens to book some shows. Most of them were already filled and we were on board early. We ...
I have never written a review before but felt the need to share my thoughts and what people told me on the cruise. I was on the thanksgiving week sailing in the haven. This was the first cruise on the prima at completely full capacity (3500 people with 500 kids). I was extremely excited to try the Prima, and I had been on 2 previous cruises this year with NCL (Joy- Haven, Bliss- Club Balcony). ...
