We choose because of the itenery. Ship was very clean & crew very friendly. The food was horrible ! Corn & ham on pizza only 1 example. Entertainment I have seen better at high school level. Pool Entertainment was funeral music. They asked us to buy a cruise pkg of $3k upfront lump sum to guarantee them 12 cruises. NO! there was a port cancelation & the refused refund of the port fee. They ...

Went on an Alaskan cruise last year on Princess. A mud slide prevented us from going into Skagway. Booked this cruise to make up for it. So far I don’t have many good things to say. I have 20 cruises worth of experience on several cruise lines. Each cruise line does some thing well and could use improvement in other areas. So far the service has been terrible. I had a good experience in the ...

Disappointing cruise experience.

I gave this cruise two stars based on: Alaska and Glacier Bay are breathtaking. Room steward was attentive. Dining room staff, specialty dining staff, and a couple bar tenders are well trained and seemed to enjoy their jobs. Purchased priority embarkation for $199 which included breakfast room service. The man that delivered our breakfast was pleasant and enjoyable. Teppanyaki had ...

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Norwegian Encore

For so many years taking a cruise was something we were going to do “someday” when we retired. Well, someday came last September and the years of vague anticipation were more fun than the actual experience. The Good: Big, beautiful, clean facility. Size of the ship made the Iowa look like a rubber duck. Friendly, helpful staff, many making real effort to understand our English. The ...

Very disappointing Alaskan cruise

We sailed on the Norwegian Bliss on her maiden voyage in 2018 from Southampton, UK to New York. It was a fabulous experience. We were excited to sail her again for Alaska, but it ended up being quite a disappointment. We are frequent cruisers, and have sailed pretty much every other line out there. We have never felt so nickeled and dimed as we did on NCL. The gratuities are the highest in the ...

My cruise isn’t over yet but I know this will be my last NCL cruise. I’ll try to be as objective as I can. Pros: - Newer ship. - Embarkation process was easy. - The Starbucks staffs are very friendly, efficient. Even when there’s a line it moves quickly. - The A-List bar outside of Los Lobos specialty dining was great. Spicy margaritas only served there and was excellent. - The ...

Let me start by telling you about this Cruise line. Cons: 1) It is very warm on this ship which makes everything you do very uncomfortable in the indoor common areas. Sweating is unavoidable 2) The internet was down for the first 3 days and getting any info as to why was impossible Many different excuses or just avoidance of your question as to what’s going on And what about ...

Never cruised with Norweigian before and we kept an opened mind. The steak is a good bet and in general the food onboard was ok. In the Bar and Grill the chicken was under cooked and don't expect the usual Buffalo sauce. This was sweet and thin. Starbucks ran out of dark roast coffee on the 4th day! We only drank dark roast therefore our package was wasted. The bar ran out of Baileys too. Our ...

Denali Explorer - 5-Day Pre-Cruise Land Tour + 7-Day Alaska Cruise

The Conclusion first: Overall, I would not recommend the pre-cruise land tour. However, I would half-heartedly recommend the cruise itself. The Specifics Arrival at the airport/transportation: We flew Delta Airlines from Los Angeles to Fairbanks (with a two hour layover in Seattle). NCL provided us with economy seats which we later paid a small fee to upgrade. After arriving in ...

A Dissapointing Cruise

This was our12th cruise with NCL, first on a Mega ship. Logistics to board and logistics at ports left a lot to be desired ! It is not a smooth operation First time we booked air with NCL - never again - lousy flight times , bought our own additional return ticket to avoid 1 AM return arrival Food onboard was great except for Cagneys Steakhouse - filet was like shoe leather. Other ...
