We selected this cruise for my sons 40th birthday celebration. This was my 4th Alaskan cruise. Twice on Celebrity and once on Princess. Overall we have cruised perhaps 15 to 20 times, first off the on boarding process was actually very good, lines were minimal and staff friendly. This was a fantastic cruise on the Norwegian Encore as she sails to the absolute best cruise destination, Alaska. The Conclusion first: Overall, I would not recommend the pre-cruise land tour. However, I would half-heartedly recommend the cruise itself. Have done this itinerary before on the NCL Encore , Bliss and Jewel. Last time on the Encore, in 2021, ship capacity was held down to about 60%. This time it was at 100% or more. I was expecting crowding, and that was certainly the case. The main choke points were at the elevators and in the buffet.
