Its true that I dont have a lot of cruise experience and what I have (except for another cruise line in 2013) is post Covid but I am very puzzled about so many poor reviews of this ship. First the good - food, service staff, and drink package included were all good to very good. Now the bad - WiFi was poor at best (non-existent most of the time). My nephew had a break at school so my sister took the opportunity to take him on vacation so she booked NCL Bliss.
I had no plans on joining them but my mother talked me into it so I can keep them company.

We are pretty loyal to HAL, but this trip was an amazing value. My knees don't work right, so I can't "do" Alaska like I could have thirty years ago. My hope was to see as much as I could see from the boat. Our goal was quiet, decent food, decent service, and to take in some of the amazing scenery that is Alaska.
