(3:50 p.m. EST) -- AmaWaterways is building a brand-new river cruise for Egypt’s Nile River, set to debut in September 2021.
The 68-passenger AmaDahlia will operate weeklong Nile cruises sailing roundtrip from Luxor as part of a longer 11-night cruise and land tour dubbed “Secrets of Egypt & Nile” that will include pre-and-post-cruise stays in Cairo’s Four Seasons, Cairo at The First Residence.
“We are excited to be coming back to the legendary Nile and introducing a new river cruise experience in Egypt,” said Rudi Schreiner, president and co-founder of AmaWaterways. “Everything about this new ship and curated itinerary reflects AmaWaterways’ focus on delivering luxurious accommodations, delectable cuisine and enriching experiences designed to engage with local communities and historic sites.”
AmaDahlia will offer a total of 34 staterooms onboard, 24 of which will be balcony suites ranging in size up to 430 square feet. The ship’s onboard amenities will include two dining venues – the Main Restaurant and The Chef’s Table – along with a sun deck bar, swimming pool, fitness center, hair and nail salon, and two massage rooms.
AmaWaterways says the ship will offer authentic Egyptian entertainment nightly, including a belly dance performance; a “Galabeya” (traditional Egyptian gown) party, and a Darawish show.
