(5 p.m. EST) -- Beginning in 2021, Carnival will offer the most extensive season of Europe cruises the line has seen, deploying Carnival Legend on a diverse schedule of voyages before returning it to the U.S., where it will homeport in Baltimore.
All told, 2,124-passenger Carnival Legend will offer Europe itineraries that visit 58 ports of call across 21 different countries. Noteworthy will be Carnival's first-ever season of cruises to the Greek Isles and a return to ports of call in Iceland, Norway and the Baltic.
Although Carnival Horizon debuted in Europe last spring, Carnival hasn't offered a full Europe cruise season since 2016.
"For Carnival Legend, we've assembled our most diverse season ever with opportunities to visit an array of breathtaking sites across nearly two dozen countries," said Fred Stein, Carnival's vice president of revenue, deployment and itinerary planning.
Carnival Legend's 2021 Europe season kicks off with an eastbound transatlantic crossing from Tampa to Barcelona on March 26, 2021. The ship will then offer Europe sailings out of Barcelona, London (Dover) and Rome (Civitavecchia).

Itineraries in Norway, Scandinavia and the Baltic, followed by voyages to the British Isles and Iceland, will be offered during June and July of 2021. Carnival's first-ever Greek Isles itineraries begin in September 2021, with voyages from Rome (Civitavecchia) departing on September 5 and 24, calling on ports including Mykonos, Santorini and Izmir (for Ephesus). An additional 11-day Greek Isles voyage, departing October 4, 2021, adds a stop in Corfu.
Carnival Legend returns to North America with a westbound transatlantic crossing on October 31, 2021, with stops at Cartagena (Murcia), Seville (Cadiz), Funchal (Madeira), Ponta Delgada and Praia da Vitoria.
The ship will then move to year-round voyages out of Baltimore. Departing Sundays, these weeklong cruises will call on Nassau, Freeport, Half Moon Cay or Princess Cays, and Grand Turk.
Carnival Pride, currently based in Baltimore, will reposition to its new homeport of Tampa following the arrival of Carnival Legend.
