(3.30 p.m. AEST) – Dream Cruises announced today it would offer departures from Brisbane in November and December 2019 as part of the line’s Australia and New Zealand program.

Explorer Dream, which was previously sailing as SuperStar Virgo, is the newest ship in the Dream Cruises fleet. It will accommodate up to 1,870 passengers and feature 15 restaurants and bars, including several which are currently available on sister ships Genting Dream and World Dream.

Accommodation includes inside, outside, and balcony staterooms, plus an exclusive luxury option called The Palace featuring 50 suites with butler service, and separate facilities. Children onboard Explorer Dream can go swimming in the Parthenon Pool, zip down a waterslide or play virtual reality games at the ESC Experience Club. Gaming consoles are also available in the Action Zone.

Dream Cruises’ ship Explorer Dream will commence sailing in locals waters from October 2019. Six ex-Brisbane itineraries, with four Australian coastal cruises and two Trans-Tasman options, are available at the end of this year as follows:

  • Seven-night round-trip cruise from Brisbane, departing on 1 November 2019, with stops at Sydney, Newcastle, Gladstone, and the Sunshine Coast.

  • Seven-night round-trip cruise from Brisbane, departing on 8 November 2019, with stops at Sydney, Newcastle, Gladstone, and the Sunshine Coast.

  • Six-night round-trip cruise from Brisbane, departing on 22 November 2019, with stops at Sydney, Newcastle, and Gladstone.

  • Eight-night round-trip cruise from Brisbane, departing on 28 November 2019, with stops at the Sunshine Coast, Sydney, Newcastle, Gladstone, and Mooloolaba.

  • Seven-night cruise from Brisbane to Wellington, departing 6 December, with stops at Sydney, Milford Sound, Doubtful Sound, and Dunedin.

  • Nine-night cruise from Brisbane to Auckland, departing 6 December, with stops at Sydney, Milford Sound, Doubtful Sound, Dunedin, Wellington, and Gisborne.
