"Getting back on board was painfully slow - it was like it was the first time they had ever done it.There is room for improvement, but as they say you can't please all the people all the time, and it is vacation - so we are just happy to be away from work and in a warm climate...."Read More

1-10 of 68 MSC Magnifica Cruises for the Disabled Reviews
Ship is older and fewer amenities but in good shape. Smoking infiltrated all of us anytime we were near a smoking area or the casino. Why is any cruise line catering to the .5% of people who smoke to the detriment of the other 99.5%?
The buffet food was horrible. Industrialize food, no variety, missing basic stuff e.g. croutons on salad bar). Dinner in the MDR was much better.

Embarkation and walk off disembarkation were great. Overall, the rest was a bit of a mess. It was nice to have the key cards on the door waiting for us. It would have been nice to know that our assigned dining room and fun pass were on our key cards. Communication and information go a long way. We were not informed that our dining room was assigned, or that it was listed on our key card. We went ...
Have sailed twice on MSC and enjoyed yacht club. We booked a suite on deck 9 and had the Top 16 area to enjoy. The suite had some rust on the bathroom and the plastic shower curtain I had thought was a nasty memory from the past. I’m a size 4, 5’3” and had difficulty managing to shower. The bed was comfortable. Balcony was small. The TV channels are limited and CNN just doesn’t offer unbiased ...
My boyfriends' first cruise, so he didn't think it was so bad. I have been on only 2 others, both Carnival, and this paled in comparison. The boat itself and interior were totally nice!!! Not the issue. Issue is paying for an upgraded drinks package on a ship with a dozen bars and only 1-2 of them open for most of the day. The beer selection is a joke. One...ONE....bar had multiple beers on ...
I chose this cruise line after hearing positive reviews from friends. However, they hadn't cruised on the Magnifica. My family and I were disappointed with the food and drinks offered. When ordering scallop ceviche, I received tiny shrimp on lettuce with no seasoning. I ordered gumbo and received chicken broth with clams and some rice. Drinks were inconsistent with many being either watered down ...
We have done a Christmas cruise on Carnival and RCCL, so we thought we would give it a try on MSC as well. We have been on four other MSC ships (Seaside, Seashore, Meravigilia and Divina).
Pre-Cruise
We flew in to FLL and stayed at the Wyndham Gardens the night before. The hotel had a shuttle that picked us up. options for food was a small restaurant area in the hotel, or a restaurant ...
We wanted a short, inexpensive cruise and that is what we got. MSC does not compare well with the better cruise lines like Celebrity, Princess, Holland America, and Royal Caribbean. The best comparison is Carnival, but with a high-end clientele. I am not a foodie but the food was bad. Activities are the typical cruise activities. MSC customer service is fine so long as you don't have any problems. ...
I will start off we booked our transfers with MSC. The price and service was well work it.
Arrival at the cruise port to boarding the ship was in under 15 minutes. That was impressive.
We had the buffet once on the ship which was okay. Did notice some guest were pushy and rude. Most of our meal we ate in the main dining room. We had a dedicated server who was very attentive.
Our cabin was ...
Positives:
Beautifully appointed ship, lots of glass and mirrors and kept very clean. Roy and Zimi at deck 5 bar were great......very attentive and pleasant, go out of their way to serve! Abdul at the Ruby bar is exceptional.....so kind and attentive! The cruise director is friendly and sociable, took the time to talk with us several times during the cruise, and was careful to keep things rated ...
We were invited to join our cousins on this cruise. Before the cruise they told us that the ship was nice, the overnight stay on the island reserve was great, and the dinner food was poor. They were 100 percent spot on. We picked the cruise after Thanksgiving and the cruise was only a little more than 50 percent full.
First for the good.
The ship was attractive and in good shape. There ...
