Review for a Bahamas Cruise on MSC Magnifica

I read a lot of horror about msc and the magnifica and is it luxury, not at all; does it have flaws, of course, was it enjoyable, very. Have an open mind because not everything can and should be perfect 1. Embarkation- very easy, we embarked an hour before scheduled time and it was totally fine. Once on board you go straight to your room (if it is ready) and you get your key card and we were ...

Ship was in better shape than I anticipated considering its age. The housekeeper service was fantastic. Every time I left the room with my daughter she would clean and organize everything in no time. I gave her a good tip. Bars sometimes get too crowded and the bartenders can't put up with the flow. Managers should move bartenders around to meet guests needs and expectations. Food is good. The ...

We have been on about 15-20 cruises in our lifetime. We’ve traveled on Carnival, Celebrity, RCCL, Norwegian and now MSC. We are in our late sixties, married 35 years, live in So. Fla and cruised mostly to the Bahamas, Caribbean & Mexico as it’s the best vacation value w/out dealing with air travel. Port of Miami & Ft Laud have all the cruises you want right in our backyard. We don’t mind spending ...

Value Cruise - Great Weekend

We had a few vacation days to use up and decided to book a last minute cruise to Key West and Cay Bay. We had extremely low expectations based on some of the reviews and were pleasantly surprised. The ship was clean, the staff was pleasant, the entertainment was great, and the food was fine - not great, but fine. We’re looking forward to another cruise on MSC in the future. The lines at the ...

Service and experience was great. We actually cruise frequently with other cruise lines and had the opportunity to cruise with MSC, regardless of all the bad comments and warnings we decided to have the experience for ourselves and we were not disappointed. I have to give the biggest props to the Tiger Lounge crew that was personal and so attentive, let’s not forget entertaining, however every ...

Overall the staff made the difference. The ship met expectations. Nods to our room steward Dewa, Bibi in various places and Patrick and Prabash (Jootoo) our regular servers in Quattro Venti. Be cautious of online deals from the website as our wifi and drinks were not included and we had to purchase on first day of trip on the ship. The Aurea deck was wonderful , the atmosphere of the ship was ...

We are seasoned cruisers and our 3rd time with MSC. Yes this ship is an older ship, but kept in near perfect shape. No there isn't a lot of activities that you'll find on the newer mega ships, but for the price, we felt it was an outstanding value. There are so many food options, I can't believe how negative the food reviews are. No this isn't a five star restaurant, but a nice deluxe balcony ...

We decided to give MSC a try despite the mixed reviews because the price was so good. It wasnt perfect but given the price, issues were minor. It is great deal. We paid for Aurea level and I feel it was worth it. The room was outdated and the porcelin in the toilet was scratched. But the suite was large, and storage was ample. It was also clean. The pillows that came with the bed were ...

Embarkation and Muster Drill Embarking on the MSC Magnífica from Miami on December 11, 2023, marked the beginning of a cruise that unfolded with both highlights and nuances. The unique muster drill, requiring room dialing before reaching the muster station, presented an interesting departure from conventional safety briefings but left room for improvement in terms of clarity and ...
