We have cruised with Norwegian in the past and have been very satisfied (the Pearl). The dining options are always good as is the food. I really like the specialty restaurants, but my husband likes the buffet, so you can't lose.

Overall a great cruise. Pre testing start to finish took about 1hr. In line to go in was packed, (bumper to bumper), inside for tests, stations were extremely tight, then went to waiting area for results, (given card with time on it) to get in final line to get wrist band, then went through security area to boarding area. We wanted to be on the cruise on our anniversary, so we selected this cruise. We usually go on smaller ships, such as the Pearl, but there were none available from Miami on our dates.
We were pleasantly surprised by the Getaway. The staff and crew were fantastically friendly and accommodating. The ship was very upbeat, and we were able to find quiet areas, although it was spring break.

The Getaway is year older but very similar - that was a plus for us - we already knew the lay of the land. The only major thing missing on the Getaway vs. the Escape is The District Brewhouse.
