Close to a fiasco

Review for Norwegian Getaway to Caribbean - Eastern

We cruise NCL regularly and chose the Eastern Cariben cruise because it was one itinerary we have not sailed and my friend wanted to see St. Thomas. This cruise almost started off with a bang when a bomb scare was called in at the Miami port. On our way to San Juan, we learned they had just had a 6.2 eaerthquake and when we arrived, everything was closed except Walgreens where we bought tee ...

This was not my first cruise, but it was my first cruise on NCL. It will also be my last. I will start with what was good about the cruise. The breakfast and dinner was very good. We did not eat in the buffet. We ate breakfast at Savor or Taste each morning and for dinner ate there as well or at the Tropicana. Lunch in the buffet was gross. Our room was also a good size. We were in a mid ship ...

I gave this review a very good. Here are the positives: Must see entertainment, Burn the Floor, Cirque Dreams of Steam, and Million Dollar Quartet. Casino review: Blackjack very bad to play house had extreme advantage because the Casino uses a shufflemaster. For people who dont understand this the cards played are put right back into the hopper so theres no rhyme or reason as to what card would ...

This whole trip felt like we were in a line. Getting on the ship took 2 hours or more. Disembarkation was super unorganized, we were late to Florida and only enjoyed 2 hours after paying for a 30$ shuttle. They failed to announce tender reservations were required to get off on the private island which was our second stop, so we waited for hours again. Third stop we were in a line as well, although ...

Did the same cruise in Oct. 2018 when Hurricane Michael messed with our stops. Got a great casino deal so we tried it again. We had a morning flight into FLL, shuttle took us to ship arrived about noon and literally walked right on. Great timing. We had bid on upgrade and received ocean view 48 hours prior to cruising for 75.00 pp. This room had plenty of space compared to IS cabins. It ...

This was our first cruise and let me tell you everything blew our minds. I had read lot of reviews that we some what negative. I was a bit skeptic since this was our first ever cruise and lot of people their share of experience. I also did love the positive reviews that made me just look at the goodness. And mind you I didn't had to force myself to see the goodness or positivity, ...

My daughter & I traveled with a few other families for a Senior Spring Break trip & had a great time. Attended Cirque show which was fun. Dined in Tropicana a few times which was good too & loved being able to eat whatever time we wanted w/ freestyle. We used our other SPD's at Tappenyaki & La Cucina and were pleased. Wish we could have gotten into Ocean Blue but they were full towards the end ...

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary, went to Coxen Hole,Roatan, Harvest Caye, Belize,Costa Maya Mexico, and Cozumel , Mexico, all were very nice. A lot of people complained about having to pay for drinks and food on Harvest Caye because they think it is owned by Norwegian, but it is not, do a little research before you book,we did.The ship was very clean and all the crew very friendly no ...

Mind you I am writing this review based on this being my second NCL cruise experience. The ship was NCL’s Getaway.....the ship itself is a step down a tier from the Escape. This really being because the ship was a bit a smaller. One big upset for me being on the ship was the painters (yes you heard me right) and I’m not talking about the the artist from the art auction. Seeing the “wet paint” ...

Anniversary Cruise

We wanted to be on the cruise on our anniversary, so we selected this cruise. We usually go on smaller ships, such as the Pearl, but there were none available from Miami on our dates. We were pleasantly surprised by the Getaway. The staff and crew were fantastically friendly and accommodating. The ship was very upbeat, and we were able to find quiet areas, although it was spring break. ...
