The Staff, service and food was just amazing.
The Panama Canal transit was very informative and left no question unanswered, almost like a live documentary.I would recommend this to anyone. I traveled with my Husband and my 2 grown boys who shared the room next to us. Our Room Steward opened the door that separates the Balcony ,that way we all four could share one big Balcony and that was also ...
Going through the Panama Canal was something that I always wanted to do, so this was the cruise for me. We have been to Miami before so we didn't do anything special before the cruise. Embarkation was totally smooth; Disembarkation.....not so much. Because of bad weather the ship had to slow down and we were late getting into Long Beach. Then, it took forever before they started calling groups ...
I have taken several cruises with Carnival and really wanted to do the Panama Canal. This may be my last cruise on Carnival, but it won’t be my last cruise. I am saddened because that means that I have to give up all my reward points, I am almost up to Platinum, but My disappointment in nearly every aspect of the cruise makes me sure that other companies can do it better.
The staff were ...
A PANAMA CRUISE, A SHIP NAMED SPLENDOR,
The carnival-crew’s smiles are what i will remember!
This nerd engineer signed-up to feel a warm breeze,
And see the wonderous canal from david mccullough’s book: “the path between the seas”.
From reading 20th century history to participating in 21st,
Our splendor was about the 5th cruise ship to traverse the new locks with neopanamax ...
The Good:
Everything on the ship was conveniently located and easy to find. Great itinerary. Just the right amount of sea days. Comedians were "top notch". Last two were very funny and engaging. Our cabin stewards: Voltor & Maria were outstanding. Dining had good variety. Would do another Journeys cruise on this ship! It would be nice if Carnival included the "intercom" messages, that ...
We have cruised multiple times, mostly with Carnival. Last year we tried Royal Caribbean. It was nice but we found we missed Carnival. I use a wheelchair full time and Carnival always provides excellent service to me.
The food was very good. We ate in the dining room (Black pearl) every night. I eat a lot of chicken and there were 2 new dishes that I found to be delicious. We had buffet most ...
Service was very good, front desk, steward, restaurants, but 7 days is too much to find all perfect. We experienced some not so cool events .
Dining:
Some of the waiters are always happy, showing great service, others slow and forced. in the Gold Pearl, Enez Can Doğan was wonderful always with a smile and great recommendations. Norman always very attentive and there was a girl from Thailand ...
This was our 1st cruise and we had a great time. Embarkation was easy, we were even a few minutes early and that was no problem.
When we walked on the ship we went right to guest services to add our credit card to our account. It took 2 minutes and off we went to enjoy our vacation!
Our stateroom was on the 7th floor aft. The room was a great size for the 2 of us. However, I could ...
The crew: Wife and I, early fifties and our two adult kids 22 & 24. We have all cruised many times and my wife and I have also stayed at several all-inclusive resorts.
Like many people, we chose this cruise on Splendor for price and a couple of the ports. But price being number one.
Overall it was a very nice cruise and I am currently looking at cruises for 2019 and leaning on another ...
Check-in was smooth, no problems.
Ports: all good. Tender to Belize terminal was 20 minutes. 1st time to Belize, unless you have an excursion there's not much at the terminal.
Food: Buffet was average. Dining room was oK
Service: Excellent. No complaints here.
Entertainment , shows: the worst I've been , on many Carnival cruises. Mostly Hasbro game shows, and unprofessional ...
