Give Regal a pass for another Princess ship

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Regal Princess

Least favourite of Princess ships. Food is of poorer quality even though the dinner menu is the same on all Princess ships. ventilation system is extremely poor. Did they forget about COVID on this ship. Had many issues on ship but these were addressed quickly ie. shower didn’t work, food was cold in dining room and dirty balcony with broken glass. I am now officially turned off Princess cruises. ...

We took this cruise to see Portugal again and get to Uk. We chose an inside cabin to save some money . I booked thru princess because it was our first time on them and I wanted a good cabin. I said I wanted stateroom ubove and below. Our room was over the piazza. We had music blasting in our room until 12:15 am. We called nightly and no one did a thing. We were told there were no rooms to move ...

2 out of 4 ports omitted, gastroenteritis rife

We purchased a cruise package that included flights, 3 days pre-cruise stay in Cape Town then a cruise to Rio stopping at Luderitz and Walvis Bay in Namibia followed by St Helena before ending with a day in Rio. The outbound BA flights were fine. The hotel (Cullinan) in Cape Town was good apart from the dinner on the second night which was below par. All the excursions were excellent, well ...

Seasoned Oceania cruisers try out Regent. How did it go? It was an adventure. We are seasoned Oceania cruisers, and seasoned transatlantic cruisers. We booked our own flights and took the transfer from the airport to the Southern Sun and joined the 4 day/3 night precruise. The hotel is fine, in a great location, and the staff could not be nicer. The precruise tour was exceptional, our ...

A Huge Disappointment

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Nieuw Statendam

I would recommend you pick a different ship and even a different cruise line completely. It is really that bad. The worse of the worst? The food. The overall food quality and selection is poor. Not what you would expect from HAL. The food is either way overcooked or undercooked. The service is slow and there are way too many mistakes. Seriously it is a cruise where you actually dread meal time. On ...

Just off the Silver Dawn - Silversea Dawn Transatlantic crossing My 82nd cruise, first time on an "ultra luxury" 6 star cruise: Lets make this an easy and interesting review, and tell me what you think.. Pros: The ship is very clean Most of the staff are great and try very hard Elevators are fast Check in was easy and fast All Suite Cabins are large and comfortable Food ...

This was my first cruise since the pandemic.I noticed a real decline in the food and noticed soiled upholstery on much of the fabric furniture.Soiled carpets along our hallway to our cabin. This is the last ship to be built in its class.I sailed the Royal Princess in 2015 and there was no comparison! Some of the furniture seems more cheaply constructed like the sofa bed in our stateroom L216.The ...

More bad than good

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Prima

Nobody comes on here to write intentional negative reviews ( I hope) . As a cruiser of 30 vacations with different companies I feel I must comment on the short comings of the Prima. Beautiful new ship , great cabins, really good food, ( post covid this is not true of all cruise lines!) But the design of the ship is extremely poor, from the lack of seating on all public decks - observation lounge, ...

Embarkation Nightmare

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Prima

Sailed on the Prima from Barcelona on 20th November. We arrived at the airport after an early morning flight. Met the NCL reps and were asked to take a seat and wait for bus to take us to the Terminal. The reps seemed to want to have a full bus before departing, hence a wait of nearly 2 hours before we departed. On arrival at the Terminal we were greeted with horrendous queues to enter Terminal ...

When I go on a cruise, I expect a ship feeling like a ship, not like a hotel

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Prima

Let me start with my impression that Norwegian Prima is a stunning ship, looking at it from the outside, and as of Nov 2023 still has a new ship feeling with everything in pristine condition. The highlights in my opinion are the outside of deck 8, called Ocean Walk (aka promenade deck) and the staterooms (more about staterooms in that section). On Ocean Walk, you actually can walk all the way ...
