Seabourn Wins!!

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Seabourn Ovation

We’ve spent the last year “comparing” luxury cruise lines, sailing in the Retreat on Celebrity several times (including the maiden voyage of the new Ascent) and testing out Regent’s brand new Seven Seas Grandeur . . . While we enjoyed them all, we believe our 2 voyages on Seabourn Ovation to be significantly better in almost every respect. The Ovation, launched in 2018, was the “oldest ship” we’ve ...

Really enjoyable transatlantic on this new ship

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Oceania Vista

This was our third Oceania cruise and the first on Vista (previous ones on Marina and Nautica). It was also our first transatlantic and we were really looking forward to all those sea days – we knew it would be a much more relaxing holiday than O’s usual port intensive cruises. We’d flown from our local airport to London, on the Sunday, staying overnight at Heathrow, then on to Miami the next ...

Excellent Cruise

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Sirena

This is my review of the Oceania cruise on the Sirena ship from Miami to the Canary Islands that lasted 2 weeks from 27 March to 10 April 2024. The food for all 3 meals plus afternoon tea, service, both cabin, reception and dining, and entertainment were excellent. In particular, the cruise director, Leslie Howard, was fantastic. The ship was in great shape; it was very well maintained. It ...

Just finished my first trans-Atlantic cruise on Oceania's new Vista. What a special experience. I have loved cruising on other Oceania vessels (Marina, Riviera, Nautica) over the years and was really looking forward to being on the new Vista and it did not disappoint. The ship is lovely, the service, food, and quality outstanding. The staff is very professional, friendly, and service oriented. ...

First Viking Ocean Voyage

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Viking Star

My trip on the Viking Star was fabulous and exceeded my expectations. The food in the World Cafe was exceptional and we ate there for dinner for 6 of our 14 nights. We also dined at Manfredi's and the Italian food was very good. However, the real gem is the Chef's Table--gourmet dining at its best! It's a 5 course dinner with 4 wine pairings. You sit back and enjoy the food experience as ...

Stellar 14-Night Atlantic Crossing!

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Viking Star

I'm a seasoned cruise afficionado, and I can't sing high enough praises about Viking, the staff, the crew, the food, the entertainment, the lectures, the amenities, the activities, and the overall experience. I have never been more impressed with the design of a ship, the ambiance, the level of service, and the variety in cuisine that we experienced on the Star. Our cabin was more spacious and ...

Excellent Transatlantic Cruise

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Azamara Quest

Excellent cruise from Rio to Lisbon. Very friendly staff. Atmosphere is upscale-casual: Few men wore sport jackets at any time. Ship was about 3/4 full, with almost all passengers being in their fifties and up. There were no children. Large mix of nationalities (US, UK, Canada, Australia, etc.). It got a bit rocky towards the end of the cruise and the captain chose to skip the Madeira port of ...

Yatish, squid and anchor bar service amazing happy to always help always remembered my name and cabin also Jacinto same bar always so helpful, Angela in the really lovely more personal nonnas restaurant once again ...

The best yet

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Sky Princess

This was my 15th Princess cruise and the best yet in terms of the ship itself. The ports of Azores, Madeira, Casablanca, Cadiz and Lisbon were fine but not trip highlights for me. Note: if one of your main concerns is the main dining room or the specialty restaurants, look elsewhere as I no longer go there on any cruise. The ship is beautiful. The whole boarding process from being bused ...

This cruise gave us an opportunity to fulfill our 'bucket list" of making through the TransAtlantic cruise with NO cancellation of Ports. Thanks to the leadership of Captain Heikki Laakkonen and his team. Strong waves for a couple days, yet we managed to have a great time..e enjoyed the company of seven other guest in our table which made the dinner evening interesting and had much laughter!! ...
