Carnival Spirit is a good ship to cruise on. Good public rooms and cabin fine. Kept very clean and tidy, But I made the mistake of choosing a cruse in school holidays - not a cruise for the solo traveler over 60. The food in the Empire dining room was very good but the buffet catered to those who are used to fast food outlets. The entertainment was not of the kind I like but other passengers ...
The Ship: I give a 10/10 to the ship. I have realized that small-ship cruising is the ultimate. You get know most of your travel companions in a few days and then you are just one big happy family partying 24/7. I would recommend the owners to provide some shade on one side of the pool and outside La Palette.
Dining: I give a 10/10. All three restaurants served up delightful meals. Hats-off to ...
Picked the ship up at Papapette ,which is a bit of a dump. However stayed in a really nice resort, ships recommendation, hung around there for three days which was nice and boarded the ship.
Found the ship a bit old and dated and in need of a full revamp. But no kids which is great.
We picked this ship for the supposedly magnificent french cooking. The food was good but not ...
Glad I tried this 3 nights cruise. Everything was amazing. Food was delicious. Wini and his team did a very good service at the Emperor Dining. They were all friendly, happy, and very entertaining. They gave us such a fantastic experience in the cruise. I'll recommend my friends and family to book a table with Wini section at the Emperor.
Our room was great. We get fresh towels and bed sheets ...
There's something to be said for going aboard as a returning passenger. This was our third time sailing on the Carnival Spirit. An Easter cruise was the perfect antidote to the autumn school holiday craziness with my three teenage daughters. Our two previous cruises were longer South Pacific itineraries so the chance to relax for three nights on board was a great idea.
From the moment we ...
We thought that it would nice to spend an Easter break on a cruise and had never been with Carnival Lines before.
Previously, we had always been with P&O for cruise getaways, we wish that we had stuck to what we knew.
Firstly, we left 50minutes late because of the way they execute their muster drill, we were un fortunate enough to be on the sunseting side of the boat for 45minutes cramed ...
Great price including onboard credit and drinks packages. Didn't need to spend any extra at all for the seven days. School and uni holidays so timing good for our families. Lots of kids onboard but no worries as they were all occupied with activities.
Embarkation was perfect. No queues and able to get on straight away before our time.
Food in dining room and buffet fantastic. Waiters ...
Even with the amount of people on board, I though the experience would be better - the ship cannot soak up people adequately, and staffing in bars is inadequate (we all know why). The ship itself is great, shows were great, the cabin really good and roomy with loads of storage, and the staff very pleasant (whilst bearing in mind they are working towards the tip at every turn) but the queuing, ...
I chose this cruise because we wanted an Easter based holiday and we only had to take 3 days off work to cruise for a week. Nice. We had sailed Solstice before so we knew the ship was very nice, and we chose Aqua class because at the time of booking it was a serious bargain. We also got 2 perks - classic drinks packages and tips covered in the price of the ticket. Great value and very impressed ...
I choose the cruise because of the small number of passengers and the destinations.
This ship was not like a large cruise ship, no bingo and mostly all passengers embarked at the new island every day. Plus the crew mingled and ate in the dining room with the passengers, so u got to know the crew in this informal atmosphere. The food was good and the dining room crew were excellent.
One ...
