Wanted to try a different experience from Holland America, which we find to be excellent, also, but the Bliss was a new ship, and much larger, with more activities.
Overall, GREAT experience, but will try to give the positive and not so positive aspects of our cruise from L.A. through Panama Canal into Miami.

The Bliss will nickel and dime you to death, there is a service charge for everything, even at the Starbucks on board, never got to see a show, they were all sold out all the time. The Bliss should have left LA and went directly to the Panama Canal and did stops on the gulf side only, Mexico’s stops were really bad, will never do the Atlantic side again. This is a smokers alert-
Norwegian Bliss Nov. 3rd Panama Canal cruise.
Prior to booking I was advised I could smoke on Deck 17 at the Spice Bar, In the humidor lounge, and somewhere at the pool area. I smoke mini cigars which are slightly larger than a cigarette.

We recently returned from a cruise aboard the NCL Bliss traveling to Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama Canal & Cartagena, Columbia. We enjoyed the cruise a lot. We choose this cruise because it was a new ship going through the new locks of the Panama Canal.
The crew were excellent and the majority were happy and helpful. The cabin was fine, we had a mini suite which had a nice sized bathroom.
The ship is too open and very loud. The free restaurants very noisy because they are so open.

Beautiful ship,staff awesome, great food. Panama Canal on our bucket list and it was as good as we expected. Captain said we would pass Bridge of America a 3:15 am, but they went through at 2:45am and most people missed it. I just returned from the Bliss 14 day Panama Canal trip. The ship was very crowded. It was impossible to get a seat in the Garden Cafe and the staff did not assist. The elevator situation on the ship was a disaster. The size, shape, quantity and programming logic of the elevators is a disaster. Bucket list Cruise. The Bliss exceeded all expectations. For a large ship no waits on dining. Lots of options. Local restaurant and sports bar we excellent. We are a working couple in our early 60s. We have sailed NCL at least a dozen times (we are Platinum). We’ve sailed other cruise lines as well.
