We chose this cruise specifically because it gives you the greatest chance of seeing the Northern lights. We followed the advice from Hurtigruten about what camera lens to buy and to take a tripod but what they don't tell you is that there is also a 99p app from I-phone which will enable you to take pictures of the Northern Lights when they are weak, as was the case with our cruise. This cruise was the worst of all our cruises ever. The staff was unfriendly and treated us as if we were a great inconvienence. When we embarked the ship we were not welcomed aboard and I was integrated about my boarding pass as to why I didn't have a stamp by French Police on it. We booked this cruise as we had a good offer which included a balcony upgrade, all inclusive package and WiFi. This was not the best cruise we've been on at all.....the main problem was the food, it was very, very poor. We ate in the dining room and it arrived Luke warm every time.
