We wanted to spend Christmas and New Year on the Solstice. We would highly recommend this cruise to anyone. The ship was decorated, and the staff were exceptional. Overall Rating - Pacific Isles, Tasman & Bass Srts 1/5
We have completed over 50 cruises including World cruises on Cunard, Celebrity, Princess et al, with another booked in April on Celebrity Solstice. This was my favorite cruise vacation. The Ovation is amazing. Its different than most of the RCCL fleet but didn't take long to get used to. The staff was outstanding. We chose this cruise because we love cruising and being the newest, biggest ship we thought it would be the ship our family would enjoy the most with the fun activities on board. We travelled with two Teenage children ages 15 & 17.
Embarkation went surprisingly smoothly having 5000 ppl on board. We chose not to be in a hurry to avoid disappointment.

We elected to embark early at 11:30 to beat the crowds. Process was very quick and easy provided you had followed RCIs instructions to upload photos and information before arrival. For those that didn't do this (many) the process was more lengthy.
