Since our last PO cruises 8yrs ago PO standards have dropped to below par.
This was our 4th time using PO Aust.
So many add ons and sales on board to get the passengers spending more money. It seemed there was always someone from some department trying to get you to sign up or upgrade. They would approach you while eating, ordering drinks, walking past them, leaving ship etc.

Fun Ship. Good for under 40's. Not so much or older cruisers other than those who love countless varieties of trivia.
Deck 7 cabin was adequate and very quiet. Larger balcony than normal. Bed was hard which may suit some but not those side-sleepers with dodgy lower backs.
Most staff were friendly as expected.
Tyler the cruise director was one of the best and involved we have ...
The ship fitout is very nice, with polished stone everywhere and lovely light fittings etc.
The theatre especially, is very nice with plenty of room and small tables for drinks.
The entertainment, however, was appalling.
The performers were mediocre at best, and the lighting was atrocious, with extremely bright lights aimed right into the eyes of the audience giving blinding flashes ...
My wife, daughter (her 1st cruise) and we had the worst Cruise experience yet. 4 visits to guest services the 1st day. 18 people on our trip, 4 families.
1) they made us book 2 rooms for 3 people.
2) rooms keys didn't work
3) confiscated my bottle of wine
4) I had a drink pkg, so I got 1 beer and then proceeded to Lido Deck where we bought 3 lanyards, and sign for them.
5) Gust ...
My husband and I sailed on what we call "the cruise to nowhere", being the 19 March 2024 Brilliance of the Seas "11 day "cruise to the South Pacific from Sydney, Australia
The cruise was meant to head to Lifou, Noumea, Mystery Island, Port Vila and Luganville for 11 days. In the end we only (just) got to Lifou - the other ports were cancelled and the cruise was cut short from 11 days to 8 days ...
Wow, P&O, you absolutely ruined my holiday, 2 weeks and my hard eared cash down the drain because of your corporate greed for profit over customer satisfaction. We will never set foot on a P&O ship ever again. We have sailed five times with other cruise companies, namely, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity. Decided to give P&O a try as pricing was very competitive. What a huge mistake, it was ...
I’ve already done the survey that they send you but realised after I sent it that I hadn’t commented on the born to dance show that I went to see while I was on the cruise . It was absolutely spectacular, I still can’t believe how good it was . I’ve been to watch shows all over including west end and broadway and this was way up there with the best . The singers and dancers were fabulous . Food ...
Compared to previous Princess cruises, this was definitely a step down in service, food, entertainment. The ambiance of cruising was not there. No dress code for the MDR. Food service slow… MDR was akin to eating at the local diner.
The staff did not make the experience ‘special’. Limited engagement with the waitstaff..more of a serve and get it over with vibe. Orders were sometimes ...
A great ship that really caters for our whole family. All the common areas are thought out, and the flow of the ship felt easier and better designed that some other brands worldwide. I was travelling as a single parent with two pre-teen kids, who made great friends on our sailing! We met loads of new friends at every part of our cruise - so social, friendly and inclusive!
The public areas were ...
Staff on ship very serious and not very friendly.
The carpets were smelly, There was water dripping from the light fittings outside the lifts on deck 15. Cabin stewards not very friendly. My suitcase had been gone through by cabin staff. Bed linen not changed. Rooms not vaccuumed , Mould on bathroom tiles.
Strong smell of marijuana on smoking decks. (Deck 7) The smoking area on deck 15 ...
