Skagen was a welcome contrast to the other places we visited as it was a small town. It was easy to walk into from the ship. We visited the art gallery which was crowded and a little disappointing. Nice small port which enabled walking from the ship around the town, as flat it was relatively easy. The town is pretty with all properties painted a yellowish colour and terracotta roofs. Shops, bars and cafes open so all in all a nice place to visit, though once is enough. ...

Added to the itinerary because St Petersburg was taken off. Ok but nothing wonderful. Just a resort town. The best thing was a visit to the Anchers House. The Anchers were famous Danish painters. There is an art museum in Skagen and you could buy a combined ticket to visit that and the house but sadly, we didn't have time. ...
