My sister and I were excited to experience Alaska, and we especially wanted to see whales and the beautiful scenery. This was my first cruise as a Platinum Latitude member. Expedited embarkation was excellent. The behind the scenes tour was great. Loved having the additional specialty dining meals and the free bottle of wine. We took the transfer from the Anchorage airport to the Seward cruise ...

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

I've read the many post-pandemic reviews and am stumped at the negative experiences these reviewers reported. I thought this Celebrity cruise was wonderful. I've been to Alaska several times before. I chose this cruise in order to see Hubbard Glacier and Icy Strait Point. The latter was a new destination for me. I started the trip with a 5 hour train ride from Anchorage to Seward, where the ...

We had just retired and wanted a trip to decompress from owning a business, and was lucky enough to book this trip on short notice. The excursions were well organized, the ship had a lot of activities everyday that were well published. The food was top knotch, the bars were scenic and convenient. The Norfic spa was flat out amazing, with big heated pool, hot tubs, sauna, steam room, ice room, ...

We wanted to cruise the Alaskan Inside passage on a ship with fewer passengers and quality service. The Viking Orion is a beautiful ship in perfect condition. There is an understated elegance on the Orion with beautiful art and artifacts. Our crew members were friendly and professional and always ready to help. The food was very good with plenty of choices at every meal. The excursions were ...

Experience the grandeur of America’s last glacial environment.

This cruise was the culmination of a lifelong interest in the glacial geography, flora, fauna, and indigenous cultures of the Alaska panhandle. It certainly did not disappoint! From the active glacial fields and plentiful marine fauna of Seward’s Kenai Fjords and Resurrection Bay to the frequent interactions with living members the native Tlingit civilization to be found in Haines, Sitka, Juneau, ...

Three couples went on this cruise together; one of them already had it scheduled and talked the other two (including us) into going. We were fortunate to have ideal weather for the entire 10 days. Everything about this cruise was top-notch. The service aboard Orion was excellent and very personalized. For example, we established a regular routine for dinner and always arrived at 6 PM when the ...

From the time you embark to disembark, your experience will be amazing with Viking. The Alaska 10 day itinerary was perfect, leaving Seward and ending in Vancouver. The Orion and crew are exceptional. I wish we had gotten this review earlier so we could mentioned every one…. From the cabin attendants, spa, dining, to the bar tenders, everyone brought their A games and provided amazing ...

Decadence of a ship with the beauty of nature

Can't beat an Alaskan Cruise. The scenery is unbelievable. This was our 5th Alaskan Cruise and we've booked another. The Orion was decadent in the room, the Restaurant, the Cafe, or the forward lounge. The food was great. We loved our aft suite, watching the ship's wake. The wrap-around deck allowed great views as we sailed the glaciers and the fjords. The cabin stewards were super, and all ...
