This is a tender port. We took a cruise ship excursion to Butrint. On our bus ride there, we were overwhelmed with gasoline fumes. It was so bad, we put our KN95 masks on, but we could still smell the fumes. We ended up taking a different bus back to Sarandë. As for Butrint, it was disappointing. Much of my rating for this port is related to the weather. It started to pour hard as soon as our tender arrived at the port. We spent 30 minutes in the terminal waiting for the rain to stop or at least change to showers but it continued to rain for over an hour. We braved the rain and walked along the seaside. There is not much to do in Sarande however we had a pleasant afternoon at the beach and using in a bar along the beach front. There are a lot of beggars especially children so that is difficult to see. Food and drink is very cheap ...
