Chose this cruise for the itinerary. Hadn't sailed on Carnival for decades but was pleasantly surprised. The ship itself was in drydock for a month prior to sailing and looked great. There were signs of cutbacks which didn't keep me from enjoying the cruise but were noticeable. I chose this Expedition cruise as it had a great itinerary around the remote Scottish Isles. Particularly good if travelling alone as I found crew and passengers really friendly and helpful.
