We did a self-guided tour across the city (5.5 miles walking plus an Uber). We went to a beautiful cathedral as well as the Prince Road Synagogue (150 years old). We then went to the Cavern Club and other Beatles haunts. ...

Everything close to dock. Best surprise of the ports. Everything close. Easy walking. And transportations easy to find. Albert Dock was great. Free museums. Maritime museum was great with a titanic exhibit. The slave museum was extremely well done. Loads to see. Restaurants aplenty from food trucks to cafe to finer. Walking distance from the ship to almost everything. Beatles experience ...

Unplanned, but needed to visit the Hospital ER. Here's our "shout out" of thanks to the Viking Venus Medical Center team on our ship; the Customer Service staff who oversea such "details as off the ship transportation to and from", etc) and to the "Royal Liverpool University Hospital". --- and this was on a SUNDAY! Every step of this process was well managed, and the courtesy, as well as quality ...

Maritime City of Liverpool was one my favorite shore excursions. It was 3 hours with two and a half hours of walking. The guide was very knowledgeable, and it was so fun to see where the Beatles got their start. ...

It was a 10-minute walk to the Cavern Club where the Beatles started. We got there early enough to get some great phots. We then walked around the city (at the pier the tourist board gave a great map with sites). The people here were very engaging and friendly. In the afternoon we took an organized NCL tour to Chester, a 45-minute bus ride. The tour guide walked us around sharing history. We ...

This was on the itinerary and we weren't really excited about Liverpool but it turned out to be one of the trip's highlights mostly due to our wonderful guide, Gary Friday, who took us on a walking tour of the city. We didn't select the "Beatles Tour" but he provided a mini-Beatles tour among a lot more information about the city. The city itself was very welcoming and looked great. ...

Liverpool was very fun. We had arranged a tour of John Lennon’s and Paul McCartney’s boyhood homes as well as a visit to The Cavern Club. Obviously, we’re Beatles fans! ...
