don't choose a starboard side as you will always face the port

Review for a Canary Islands Cruise on World Traveller

The ship is very new and very nice and the room is lovely I didnt do my research very well. the ports left a lot to be desired actually they were pretty terrible Now I know why, I know no one who has been to the Canary Islands. firstly the ship always docked at the starboard side so we had boring cement to look at . mostly we cruised at night but now in Seville and 30 minutes walk ...

Good, but not a "Premium All-Inclusive" as Mein Schiff advertises...

Review for a Canary Islands Cruise on Mein Schiff

Just came back from our first ever Mein Schiff cruise, and my first German speaking ship experience (my partner has been once on the AIDA). This was our 28th cruise. I, a non-german, but German speaking person, give this ship a 3 out of 5. My partner, German born and raised, gives it a 4. Both of us liked a few things, and disliked a few others. All in all, we found the "Premium All Inclusive" ...

23rd CRUISE IN TEN YEARS - Cabin comfortable with towel sculptures and effective service!! We eat exclusively in the Main Restaurant as we are not fans of buffets at any cost!! We also refuse to take part in the cruise industries 'up selling' measures. The restaurant experiences was excellent. Good food although there is clear evidence of 'dumping down' and cost saving going on, compared ...

Food poor, Flights delayed, staff were best asset

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Marella Explorer

Wanted to go away for a family Christmas and get some sun. The flight from Gatwick was delayed by one day so missed first day of cruising. Tui conspicuous by their absence, no explanation to passengers for the delay. Relayed to local hotels and bussed back next day only to have to check in again and only one lady on check in desk for 200 people. Food in main dining room was very mediocre, ...

We thought , why not cruise around the Canary Isles with Madeira thrown in for good measure . We chose a Junior suite no 10015 on 10th floor , impressed with the cabin and facilities ( except a shower cubicle that floods ) Sadly however we quickly realised we were directly under the Gym due to the continuous crashing of the dumbells from the weights onto the floor ( typically from 7AM onwards ) ...

Trying really hard but awful entertainment!

Some lovely restaurants attended by excellent waiting staff. Three of the six restaurants have an additional charge applied. Most of the food was very good with only one or two disappointing meals experienced during our week long stay. The bars look very 70's but were also well attended. The cabins are a bit bland whilst the communal parts of the ship appear very dated. My wife and I enjoyed ...

NO COMPARISON

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Star Flyer

I had a wonderful crossing on the Flyer in Oct. 2015 and booked early to secure a good cabin this year. Overall, there was no comparison with last year. I am not going to moan about things that are outside anyone's control ( poor winds, virus outbreak, no internet ), but my main complaint ( and that of many others ) was that the on- board entertainment was abysmal! I know, from before, that ...

Solo Passenger - First MSC Cruise

Review for a Canary Islands Cruise on MSC Armonia

Travelling as a solo passenger, I have just returned from a cruise to the Canary Islands and Morocco with MSC Armonia. We usually sail with Thompson but the MSC cruise seemed a cheaper option as there is little no single supplement surcharge. Here are my thoughts and impressions. The ship and services After its recent upgrade I found the ship to be well maintained and modern. My cabin (an inside ...

We booked a cheap 7nt inside cabin cruise. Ship was clean, well presented. Staff were pleasant and courteous. Shows were ok, nothing amazing. Plenty of lounges, places to drink, relax etc. Food in main dining room was mediocre. Sauces were on the bland side, more like glorified gravy. Would be most disappointed to have paid for a suite/balcony cabin and receive the same food. Cabin was simple, ...
