Newest ship but not the best

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Euribia

MSC is offering good prices, but you get what you paid for. I general ship is good, new, nice and clean. Good services, not very crowded, except plaza, which is not plaza, but place for traffic jam. Food is ok, coffee is real trash, small portions for dinners in main restaurant, but you always can eat more and more in main buffet. TV is locked to hotel mode, and you can’t hook anything to USB, ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Fantasia

I decided to write a review for our MCS Fantasia cruise because I found there to be a lack of information out there on some basic questions and hope this will help fill in gaps for the next family that tries to partake on a cruise like this. Some of this will be review of the MSC cruise itself, and some other information that might help with planning and execution. Background: We took a ...

Tried out MSC...

My "big" cruise is going to take place in January 2022 and I was really in need for a break when this MSC offer came by. Travelling solo in a balcony cabin for the wonderful amount of € 1.000 was almost too good to be true. I liked the stops we made on our way through Northern Europe, it was a pity that due to weather circumstance we had to skip Warnemunde and arrived a day earlier in Kiel. The ...

Perhaps one thing in advance. This is not the first time we have travelled with TUI, and so far we have spent about 150 days on board various ships and shipping companies - but we do not belong to the TUI fan club that lives on Artisan Bread and cannot live without the departure anthem and makes this known in the evenings at the bar by slandering Aida - so much for parts of the crowd. But from ...

COVID It was our seventh cruise since the beginning of the pandemic, so we already know the new reality on cruise ships. This time I had the impression that there were too many people on board. Although the capacity is actually still limited to 70%, I did not notice that. The ship was full as before the pandemic. It is again necessary to book a seat in the theater a day before and in the evening ...

Beautiful & bold.....but too big for me

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on MSC Meraviglia

Selected this cruise to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary so special occasion = the Yacht Club experience. I'm so glad I chose the YC as the rest of the ship was just way too big for me. One of the reasons I paid so much for YC was priority embarkation and disembarkation. Unfortunately there was no priority embarkation at Kiel, despite what I'd been told beforehand and it really was ...

Quality in MSC Cruises is falling.

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Meraviglia

For clarity, I was traveling in the Yacht Club area on the MSC Meraviglia, so the review concerns rather this part of the ship. Ship: The ship is beautiful and impressive. It has a modern but elegant interior. Unfortunately the ship is too big and more importantly extremely overcrowded. In the evening it is difficult to find a free table in a bar. There is noise and bustle in public areas. ...

The Good, Bad, and Ugly of cruising the Baltics onboard Costa Pacifica

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Costa Pacifica

Review Summary The question is...Would I recommend taking a Baltic Cruise on Costa Pacifica? I will reluctantly say “Yes”. The Cruise Ship is well worth the money spent. The destinations are absolutely exquisite. The only hesitation I have is the food as it was terrible. Embarkation Getting to the Port in Kiel Germany was very easy. The Cruise Terminal is ~1 mile from the Kiel Train ...

This was our second time going in a cruise with MSC. The first time was with the Poesia around the Mediterranean Sea. The experiences were very different. The route was good, all the cities are beautiful and there wasn't any big delay or change on the itinerary. We found the food at the buffet really good and there was a fair amount of variety, although not as wide as in the Poesia. ...
