We did a small group kayaking tour booked by an off cruise company and it was wonderful. Small downtown with a few shops and a great craft brewery right near the dock. ...

We were expecting a water shuttle but were able to dock at the pier and walk into town which took about 15 mins. I wandered around taking pics of all the quaint buildings and stopped to buy a dozen postcards. I then went into the Post Office nearby for stamps and went back to the ship to write them out. It was a chilly day, overcast, so not the place to write outside as I normally would have ...

Our first excursion at this port was to Dynjandi (Bridal Veil Falls) was an amazing site and next we traveled to Sudurreyri, a fishing village. I would not recommend continuing the fishing village as part of the tour unless there is more content. ...

Another port where we could not get the tour we wanted so we booked a Calm Kayaking trip on our own. You can walk to the pier and the guide was very informative and helpful. We kayaked around the bay but when it started to rain and weather turned, he safely got us back to the launching spot. After we stopped at the local brewery, Dokkan Brugghus, which was next to the pier and tried delicious ...

This was one of my favorite ports. We were there two days, so we got to walk around a lot, including climbing part of the mountains. That was a lot of fun. Seeing the huge fjord from several vantage points was also interesting, and the walking outdoor museum was fun, too. ...

Only thing worth doing here is djangi waterfalls (forgive spelling) For a cruise ship the size of the virtuosa it is done by tender and that was poor and on the ships mismanagement. ...

This is a beautiful looking place. It’s a tender port for Virtuosa, which is a little annoying. We didn’t have any issues getting off the ship though. Went to the tender ticket desk early and got group B. Very little waiting to leave the ship and very little waiting to re-board. Thought it was a smooth process. Isafjordur itself is beautiful but there is almost nothing there [hence the ...
