Sailed from Hamburg in the Yacht Club. Check in a breeze, was met at the tent outside in front of the terminal, our bags were taken, a butler took us to check in, no waiting. Took approx 30 mins from the tent to being served a drink in the YC lounge. our cabin was ready 1 hour later at 11.15 am. Our cabin was very spacious and well set out, with much more storage than you will ever need. ...

Below is a brief review of our sailing on Queen Mary 2, September 20-29, 2023, 9 nights, from Hamburg to Southampton and on to New York. This was part of a 5 week trip that began in Milan, Italy at the end of August, and included a 7 night sailing on the Azamara Onward from Rome to Venice. We were in an Interior cabin with a window overlooking the multi-story lobby. We had noticed these ...

In 2015, we already went on a cruise in Norway on P&O Britannia (our story can be read in Russian at this link: English traditions on a P&O cruise on the new Britannia ship https://forum.awd.ru/viewtopic.php?p=6168033#p6168033). This time we decided to go to the northernmost point of Europe - the North Cape. We chose a cruise on the MSC Preziosa from July 14, 2023. Exit from Hamburg. Overall I ...

This was a somewhat spontaneous cruise for us, as we had an unexpected travel window open up. After searching various destinations and travel options, I found this one with the PERFECT itinerary and booked a cabin just a month before departure. I've read various reviews and they are all either glowing or damning for Oceania and I really wasn't sure what to expect. What I kept saying to my husband ...

Mein Schiff 2- world's first cruise after the pandemic

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Mein Schiff

TUI Mein Schiff Cruises is a nice cruise line, but not for everyone. I had the pleasure of participating in a historic event. The July 24 2020 cruise aboard the Mein Schiff 2 was the first large ship cruise after the coronavirus lockdown in the world. Here I must admit that the TUI did a great job with the new safety measures. Muster Drill was conducted in small groups, the crew checked the ...

Promising Cruise Line with beautiful new ships, but no Butler for the Suites ☹️

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Fridtjof Nansen

It's a must to try Hurtigruten Cruise Line, their new additions are just comfortable and beautiful. There is pretty much everything available on board, except Entertainment, which honestly felt great, who needs it on expeditions cruises?! and Butlers for the Suites, which is a Shame. How nice would it be to have your Butler booking a dinner or serving breakfast or, etc.... and for the prices ...

As this is a brand new ship i wanted to try this ship out and see if msc is for me? I booked it through an american agent so got free bottled water in dining room. Tap water is free on every other ships except costa and msc. Pre cruise. As i was just off another cruise i only had a short time to get home and leave to catch flight from stansted airport. There was a suicide at liverpool ...

We are Platinum card members having been on all three queens several times. Our trips have always been good and so have the on board photographers. We did a mini cruise from Hamburg to Southampton with all the family for a seventieth and a fortieth birthday - so rather special. A rare treat to get the family all in one place. Smart attire evening photographs were so badly posed (not) that we ...

David Garrett German Cruise from Hamburg

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

I wish we had been told this was a "Stars at Sea, David Garrett" cruise when we booked it. David Garrett is a German violinist who plays Metallica and ACDC to the violin (plus some other stuff). He has a small bunch of German fans who are crazy about him. The problem was I was expecting the usual Queen Mary 2 shows to be performed and had no idea that that wouldn't be happening. Instead, David ...

Great cruise. Different experience comparing to most of cruise lines.

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on AIDAperla

I had experience on Costa and NCL before this cruise. So, I was comparing with that lines. We decided to choose Aida this time as we wanted to experience German style cruising and found a good price for transatlantic cruise with return flight to Germany. Also, I liked itinerary with stops at: Hamburg, Southampton, La Coruna, Lisbon, Tenerife and several Carribean islands. Before the cruise, ...
