Grenada
We visited a garden high up in the mountains. The garden is small but the young guide who showed us round was extremely knowledgeable, and the views were stunning. A good way to spend a couple of hours. On returning to Grenada we had a wander around the shops in the port which by this point in the holiday were all beginning to look like the other islands. ...
Took a taxi drive around the island. Wanted to see the medical school that caused the US invasion. Medical school is beautiful, contrasting with a lot of apparent poverty elsewhere. ...

It was another day of sitting in a bus - riding around with a few stops - but basically the spice trees, etc. were pointed out through the bus window as we passed. Grenada is also extremely poor and it was sad to see the conditions that the locals live in. I think we would have enjoyed a beach day more. ...
Caught water taxi $5pp each way. Chairs & umbrella $30. Beach guys will keep you in strong cheap and delicious cocktails all day. Tip them well, they work so hard. ...

You literally do a full loop of the island, taking in waterfalls, a chocolate making factory, photo stops and table service lunch, and the guide was passionate and funny throughout what was a 7 hour tour. This island is also very pretty even though it is still ...
We chose this cruise because we like Celebrity Millenium class ships AND we could visit our granddaughter who had moved to Grenada to marry her husband.
What a beautiful, lush green island!! We toured as much as we could in the few hours there - saw Etang Lake and some wonderful views from the rainforest high above the sea. Excellent port - wish more cruises stopped there.
Got spices that smell ...
