We chose this cruise based on a great casino offer. We had sailed on her in 2008 and 2009 when she was fresh and nearly new. Today the ship is in fairly decent shape. Worn areas show in the elevators, and some of the common areas. The crew in general were outstanding! Nice positive vibe from the people who make this party barge go!
Princess really had their act together on embarkation, ...
The Celebrity Ascent is a stunning ship with beautiful design in most areas. It has a modern, upscale feel that's truly enjoyable. However, there were a few shortcomings that surprised us, especially considering this is a new Celebrity ship.
One frustration was the theater. We waited in line for a show in the top section of the Club, only to discover it had limited visibility. The layout seems ...
Second week, new room due to excessive noise from midnight to 3:00am under Craft Social Bar on deck 4. Moved to deck 11 aft, super easy process, clothes stay on hangers load up suitcase with the rest of your stuff and walk off the ship for the turnaround at security check.
Back on board in 20 minutes or less, up the elevator and tada luggage and clothes are on the bed. Put everything back ...
Despite prices rising the last few years across all of RC’s ships, the cost cutting continues.
Once a day stateroom service is a joke. RC should be embarrassed by this. When I was at guest services for a different matter, they grasped at straws to come up with explanations, or as I called them, excuses, as to why this was the case. My favourite was, “well all inclusive resorts only offer once a ...
A family of 14 travelled to Fort Lauderdale for an incredible gift from my mom on this adventure. I haven't been cruising for about 10 years (raising my kids) and I really loved my return to open water!
Good things:
1. The ship was well maintained and flowed nicely. Our cabin and room attendant was 5star plus.
2. The windjammer was better than I remembered.
3. The ports of call ...
This was may 55th cruise but first time as Elite on Celebrity, We booked a C1 although I had no use for the concierge we booked late. The ship is huge and has many neat areas such as the garden, Eden, and the atrium. There is a lot of whimsical art. I had trouble navigating the layout and found signage to be inadequate. The buffet was almost always crowded although the selections were very good. ...
My wife and I chose this cruise mainly for the itinerary -- we had never been to Jamaica, Grand Cayman, or Cozumel -- and the timing, which fitted our schedule. (We forgot it was March break, our kids being long grown up). We had done one cruise on Princess years ago, and two each on Norwegian and Royal Caribbean since. Princess seems at least as good as Royal Caribbean, and better than Norwegian, ...
We just concluded our 8 night cruise on Symphony to Aruba, Curaçao and Labadee Haiti (substituting Nassau Bahamas) we had a very good time!
This is our 4th cruise overall (RCCL 7 day, RCCL 7 day, RCCL 8 day and Celebrity 10 night).
This was a Spring Break cruise which was absolutely packed with around 5,300 people. The cruisers were overwhelmingly families (parents aged around 32-38 with ...
Six seniors, 72 and up, 4 from Phoenix, 2 from Washington felt this sailing took us to new Caribbean ports. We normally prefer Celebrity and this ship was well rated, good sail date for our needs with reasonable pricing. Two couples in inside cabins and one in a balcony.
PRE BOARDING: We flew in the day before, a Sunday and all stayed at Residence Inn on Anglers in Dania Beach. The provided ...
We love the entertainment on most of the Oasis-class ships, but the shows on the Symphony of the Seas were absolutely spectacular and amazing--by far the best we've seen. The Aqua show, the two ice shows, RC's original show regarding flight and the Broadway show, Hairspray were top notch. We have been on Oasis, Allure, Harmony and now the Symphony. Symphony was by far my favorite based on the ...
