Problem with Freeport is. If here are no other ships docked but one of these two. The port is closed down. meaning, you have nothing there at all so you must take an excursion, go to town or just stay on the ship. They did have some nice things to do on the ship. We did not go anywhere. been their many, many times before. The Celebration used to dock on the other side of the docks so getting off you would be where the stores and action is. Not now. You would need to do a bit of a walk. not that bad. But only if another big ship is htere. Read Less

We were signed up to do a dive excursion, but the waters were rough. We were not told it was canceled until after we had gotten off the ship. There were no other options given to us. So, we ended up taking a taxi ... with a whole bunch of other people, cause they would not take just our family of four. We had asked to go to one place and the driver dropped us off somewhere else. We had to pay for the round trip upfront even though we did not go where we wanted. We decided to just go to the beach where the driver dropped us off and ended up having to pay to get on the beach. Then we were sand blasted and continuously hit up by people on the beach selling something. We then had to pay twice as much money to be taken to the gardens that we had originally asked for. We paid the fee to get into the garden ... which was WAY over priced for the experience. Read Less

Bartenders at Fat Tuesdays were the only ones to get us even remotely buzzed the whole week. Bought sunscreen and wandered around for a couple hours. Dirty.

All that was done in Freeport was shopping but we enjoyed ourselves. Like most markets, it's the same stuff from shop to shop but nonetheless it was a good time.

Bad place to stop. Industrial area with poor quality. Island still suffering from hurricane last year and not being rebuilt.
