Since our last PO cruises 8yrs ago PO standards have dropped to below par.
This was our 4th time using PO Aust.
So many add ons and sales on board to get the passengers spending more money. It seemed there was always someone from some department trying to get you to sign up or upgrade. They would approach you while eating, ordering drinks, walking past them, leaving ship etc.
The ...
Having 18 past cruises to compare with, My Wife and I would say we ought to be capable of accurately compiling and submitting this review. It is my opinion that this ship is dangerously old. The very visible rusted major steel structures are of great concern. Many totally clouded and cracked window panels in public areas are another telltale sign that this vessel is fast becoming destined for the ...
Disappointed with this cruise.
Weather was good and sailing was smooth. Loved that it was just a short cruise of four days and enjoyed the shore trips to Port Lincoln and Kangaroo Island however the ship is very old and tired and really shabby.
Staff were mostly friendly and efficient but clearly overworked and tired. One cleaner told us they work 12 hour days for 7 days a week with no ...
Embarkation: we lined up for over an hour to get into the terminal. It seems that everyone arrived for a 12:30pm boarding time despite the time they were actually given. Once we got into the terminal the process was relatively straight forward. I'm not too sure why I bothered getting my second covid vaccine or doing the rat test though as these were never checked.
Room: we had a three birth ...
This is the second cruise our family of 4 have taken. The first being a 10 day cruise with the Carnival Spirit in July 2017.
We thought our Carnival cruise was great, fantastic staff, good food and lovely atmosphere.
So when booking this 5-star Cunard cruise, I was assuming it would be of a higher standard that we experienced on the 3-4 star Carnival cruise.
Sadly to say, this was only ...
We have just returned from a 3 night mini break from Adelaide to Melbourne via Kangaroo Island.
The ship herself, is very dated , liked nannas house, only missing the plastic covers on the chairs !
On the positive side, there is a full length walking track on deck 7, a kettle in the cabin and the pressure in the shower is good. I also loved my balcony, sitting out there reading , listening ...
Just wanted a short break to take some non cruisers on a trial cruise...so we did a 3 nighter from Adelaide to Melbourne in 4 cabins. The ship was old and tired, the staff dis-interested and this reflected in the food, some surly waiters and the entertainment.
After 3 days, everyone was more than happy to get off ! I dont think I could have handled one day more! So two formal dining rooms ...
I chose this cruise to experience a brand new ship after thoroughly enjoying a week on the Allure of the Seas from Port Lauderdale. I looked forward to being on what was marketed as a historic arrival in Australian waters. I looked forward to the new "Set Sail Pass" that would allow me to go straight to my cabin where I would find keys that were the gateway to the ship.
I arrived at the Port in ...
We booked this cruise primarily to experience the ship tech and for me to unwind. The size of the Ovation of the Seas is very impressive as is the technology that drives and operates her. My son and i flew from Canberra to Adelaide to begin our "high sea" adventure on board this high tech vessel. Our Cruise was organized through Mary Rossi Travel in Sydney, acting on our behalf and arranging ...
We decided to take a short voyage to sample a Cunard product and a larger ship.
As a background, we have taken four cruises with Seabourn in recent years, and thought this mini voyage with Cunard would be an interesting exercise, before taking a longer cruise with them.
Apart from the size of the QE, we had an expectation that the two cruise lines would have had a comparable experience ... ...
