We have been on the Regatta once before and really enjoyed it. We like the casual dinning and have found the food and service to be excellent. On this cruise, we thought that the food in the Terrace wasn't as good as our first cruise and the first few days the service wasn't up to what it was on our first Regatta cruise. The food and service in Toscano's and the Polo Grill were excellent. We also really like the smoking policy that Oceania has, since I am allergic to smoke. We really enjoyed the itinerary and our weather was beautiful. The captain got close to the Hubbard Glacier and to the Glaciers in the College Fjords. David Norlander was the lecturer and he did a great job. My husband really enjoyed Vincenzo, the classical guitarist. Our 2nd port was Wrangell, where we took an independent tour with Breakaway Adventures to Anan Bear and Wildlife Observatory where we saw a lot of black bears up close. It consisted of a boat trip from Wrangell and about a 1/2 mile hike to the observation platform. It was a great tour. Our last port before Anchorage was Homer. Here we took Oceania's Seldovia/Kachemak Bay cruise. Had a beautiful sunny day, saw lots of sea otters, birds including puffins and had lunch in Seldovia and went for a hike to the beach. Was a fun day. It was a very enjoyable cruise.
Our cabin was fine, it was quiet, the balcony was great and we had great views especially when viewing the Hubbard Glacier and the College Fjords.
