This cruise fitted in with our holiday dates. We fell for the advertised special offers which were so badly advertised we found ourselves ££££££££ out of pocket.

We decided to have the speciality dining. On our last NCL cruise this offer lasted the whole week. There was nothing on the advertising that said this was not the case. So imagine our surprise on the third night we were faced with a bill for over $340 because the offer only lasted 2 nights. We booked the cruise with the plan of arranging our own trips. Over two week after we had booked we were contacted by NCL to say Italy will only let us off the ship on trips organized by the ship! They must have know this when we booked! So for a family of four the cost of the trips added nearly £2000 on to the price of the cruise!

In Palma we were told it was €15 a person to get a return bus into the centre. We got a taxi for four of us which cost about €11 each way.

Cabin Review

Family Balcony

Cabin belcony which regularly go wet from window cleaning on upper decks

The stateroom itself was tiny and cramped. There was no bathroom as such!! Just a toilet with frosted glass and opposite a shower with frosted glass the sink was on the vanity unit. This meant there was no privacy and dare anyone open the stateroom door while you were on the loo!!!! I have never been in such a badly designed space!!! Going to the loo in the night meant the whole cabin got lit up there was no noise control and the sliding door on the loo was very noisy. The bed took up a lot of space and was difficult to walk round it was so uncomfortable it was like sleeping on a wooden board. The belcony was a good size but we regularly got showered when they were cleaning windows .on the top decks!

Port Reviews

Barcelona

Barcelona is easy to get to and a good port to cruise from. We arrive two days early and spend time exploring this splendid city.
