After seven cancellations over the past year and a half, I finally made it on board the beautiful Scarlet Lady for her MerMaiden voyage from Miami... I showed up early for my 2:00 check in time, and was one of the first "non Rockstars" into the building for the pre boarding corona virus test. About a half hour later, I was given the all clear, and boarded just behind the Rockstars right at 2:00pm. The ship is quirky, but beautiful, and by the end of the first day I was finding my way around with ease. Dinners were pre booked, and I enjoyed The Wake, Pink Agave, Gunbae, and Extra Virgin... The dining on this ship blows away both Carnival and NCL in every way. This is true Michelin star type dining. The drinks on board were excellent, and not too expensive, considering that no beverage package is offered. Bimini is truly amazing, and the food there was great as well. I guess that my only complaint would be their app, which sometimes doesn't work at all, but once they iron that out, Virgin Voyages should see great success in the American market...
