This is a long, log-style review of the Celebrity Edge sailing of 10-2-21. For the summary just scroll to the bottom.
We left our home in Stuart at about 9:00 for our 11:30-12:00 noon embarkation appointment. We had a leisurely drive down I-95 to Dania Beach where we parked at Park by the Ports, arriving at about 10:45. The car was parked, luggage loaded into the van, unloaded at the terminal, and we arrived at check-in at 11:15. They had several lines set up for various boarding times but we saw no one 'waiting.' Our documents were checked and we were ushered through to security. Once through there, another document check and sent on to a final document check after which we were clear to board the ship. Onboard at about 11:30, and to our stateroom to drop off our carry on.
Stateroom 8214 is a “Deluxe interior” and it does have a little added space, with a love-seat sized couch. While we traveled for this one week cruise with just one checked bag, a roller carry on and a small under-the-seat type of carry on we are glad we did not have additional luggage as storage in the cabin seems tight. No over the bed storage like we see on the Solstice class ships. Next we head off to begin exploring.

If you are not familiar with this type of cabin, ask your room steward to show you all the storage! There is no over the bed storage like we see on the Solstice class ships.
