My husband taught world history for 33 years and always wanted to go to Egypt. Covid numbers wow going down in May of 2021 when we saw an ad for this fabulous cruise. We held or breaths and booked it, and we are sooooo happy we did. It was SS Sphinx maiden cruise and although they were working it a few bugs, the experience was exquisite. Our md-level suite was like a beautiful hotel room. There was plenty of room and it was a full bathroom, unlike the previous cruses we have taken.

The food was good, but had a definate Egyptian quality. We found it very interesting. The most important and best aspect of the cruise was the stops and the excursions. It was not a relaxing cruise, but a very educational experience. The passengers were broken into smaller groups that were led by their own Egyptologist. Our leader was “Hany” who wasn’t just extremely knowledgeable, but a fantastic teacher. He was so amazing, and I could not believe how much I learned on this trip. Each site we visited was not only amazing and surreal, but we also learned so much. It was not just a vacation, but a very enjoyable, fulfilling education.

A trip of a lifetime!

French Balcony

Like an elegant hotel room, including a full size bathroom. Linens were beautiful. Service was perfect.
