We had four cruises cancelled in 2020 and 2021 so this was our first since the Pandemic. Everyone over the age of 12 was vaccinated and I was very impressed with the protocols. We have been on over 25 Royal Caribbean cruises so know the types of activities they usually have on board. The ship was running at 50% capacity so there were no big lines or waiting for elevators. It was a relaxed vacation but they did everything to make us feel appreciated and safe. There were a lot of trivia contests and singers. The production show Grease was great as was the ice show. They only had the one big production show rather than two. There were no belly flop contests or hairy chest contests, or Captains cocktail party but there was karaoke, the marriage show and the usual sales. I missed the parade in the promenade but they are cautiously ramping back up and trying to avoid too many people in one place at one time. The food was very good and the Chops Grille has an outstanding filet mignon. The portions seemed much larger than in the past. The waiters were very attentive. Since half the tables were empty they had more time to spend with guests. All in all we had a great time and hope the cruise industry can get back on its feet. We were glad that we took this cruise. I wasn't going to take an excursion but changed my mind and did excursions in Roatan, Costa Maya and Cozumel. Loved Maya Cay in Roatan, the aviary in Costa Maya and the Chocolate, honey and tequila excursion in Cozumel. Every Mexican was wearing a mask and the sanitizer was flowing freely. Great time in difficult times.
We had a spacious Balcony room and loved the amount of storage and the size of the room. It was a good choice for us.
We had never been to this port before and loved Maya Cay private island. The animal rescue facility and museum were very educational and the beach and food were great.
