Have to say that my first cruise on Celebrity was less than I expected. It's like they were never too sure what to do with two single women. Took them a couple of days to realize we were concierge but that didn't seem to make any difference at all. For example, we asked them to clear out our fridge so we could put our water and meds in there....the steward piled all the bottles on the dresser leaving no room for us to put our other stuff. We asked him to take the beverages away but he said he could not.
We asked for extra hangers and he showed up with 6 wire hangers (I thought we were at 50% occupancy but there were no extra wooden hangers?). We asked for open dinner seating and were told that was not available to us we could only have early seating. Because we were "late" at 8:00, we were offered a table next to the kitchen. My roommate complained and we were moved to a window in a separate dining room next to the stored torn furniture and pilled table cloths. We were actually fine being the only ones in the dining room but it meant our servers kept forgetting we were there so dinner always took more than 2 hours.
My friend has special dietary needs so the chef made her dinner fresh every night for her which meant my dinner always came out luke warm. Her dietary needs were totally met, and the chef even provided special breakfast foods for her in the cafe.
Room Deluxe Ocean View Strm Veranda was very cramped with very limited storage space. The shower was so small I had difficulty turning around. The beds were very comfortable. Television was limited. Movies on television were free but the app asks who will pay for the movie before it is shown which led me to believe there was a charge for the movies. Hallways are tight and you cannot walk two abreast. There are only two outlets in the entire room and they are on the desk. The outlet in the bathroom does not work for the hairdryer so you have to leave the bathroom and walk to the desk to dry your hair. But the hairdryer is stored in one of the limited number of cubbies. The walls are not soundproof and we could hear the couples on each side of us.
