Needed a quick get-away out of Port Canaveral so we chose this cruise. Passenger count still low - we were told about 1100 passengers (out of a max 3300) with a crew of1000. You can't walk a corridor or turn a corner without a genuine greeting by ANY staff member we saw!!
Since this was booked during DeSantis'" you can't deny unvaccinated passengers" period, we did have a few but I never saw them. Vaccinated passengers had access to the entire ship and we were given wrist bands to prove it. Non-vaccinated were limited to certain shows, a certain floor in the theater, only certain ice show performances among other things. All were required to wear masks indoors except when eating or drinking, and they were optional at the vaccinated areas of the shows. And they DID check wrist bands before entering those areas. As a vaccinated person I felt protected.
The buffets were still there but staff were there to serve you, so no one touched your food. They even brought around a tray of sweeteners for your coffee with 5 different choices, each in a stainless container, and when you told them what you wanted, the picked up the number and type you requested with tongs. Very sanitary. At every turn I felt they had anticipated every possible source of contamination and mitigated the risk.
My ONLY complaint was that the beds were HARD. My sore hip and the hard mattress did not make for a restful night. The cabin itself had lots of storage although the bathrooms could only fit 1 at a time and storage was lacking there. Bring a handing storage thins for the door and you're good. I expected better in that class, maybe because I'm used to Celebrity. One dispenser on the wall in the glass door shower with an all-purpose hair and body wash.
