I had received some good reviews about the new MSC ship, Virtuosa, and in particular the Yacht Club so decided to book the 7 day British Isles cruise. From the moment we arrived at the port for check in until disembarkation, we could not have been treated any better. The service in the Yacht Club far exceeded that which I had experienced on other similar cruise lines and I could not recommend it highly enough. It was a quiet oasis from the rest of the ship, which although 50% full was somewhat noisy (not unreasonably, given this was over school holidays). Mauricio led his team from the front. A superb “front of house” and all his team, without exception, were proactive, welcoming, happy to serve and a delight. The dedicated restaurant and lounge/ bar and sun deck at the front of the ship were spotless and welcoming at all times. There were always crew available to serve and invariably knew our names and drinks. The cabin was larger than standard and extremely comfortable. The food was excellent, both in the dedicated restaurant and the outdoor buffet on the sun deck. A special call out to Mauricio dos Santos who led the Yacht Club team, Maria, our butler and Reynaldo and Waru who supplied the drinks on the sun deck. These and the others were a terrific team. I was sorry to leave and will be back!
