We chose this cruise because we had never been to Jamaica or Bimini. We have cruised with Carnival many times and I think this will be the last. Our cabin was selected by Carnival because we got a low rate deal. It was poorly selected. The ship was only 2 / 3rds full. 1800 passengers instead of 2900. But they placed us right behind the bridge, so we had zero privacy on our balcony or inside. Directly across the hall they placed 5 young men. 5 men in one interior cabin! The 5 men were constantly loud and profane. They never shut up!

The food service was very slow. Can't imagine why??? Only 2 / 3rds full and the food always came very slowly. We ate in the dining room and never saw a show because it took over 2 hours to get the dinner completed. Every night we finished dinner after 10:00. Several times we ordered lobster and it always took much longer to get the meal. We would watch the other diners at our table eat while we waited. When the lobster arrived it had nothing else with it! $20 extra for a split tail and some butter. Nothing else! Morons!

We arrived in Jamaica only to be informed by local police that we could not go anywhere outside the compound. Many local Jamaicans were arguing with the police. Much shouting! We were interviewed by a local Jamaican news company. Very bad and dangerous situation that we walked into. You could only leave with a Carnival excursion or "approved bubble tour". So, needless to say we did not get to do a lovely river raft with Keith's Bamboo Crew, and we did not get to James Bond Beach, as planned. Instead we went on a approved bus tour which was a joke, a very bad joke. The driver and tour guide told everyone it was $35 to go. But when we arrived at the destinations we were charged additional fees. Everyone on the tour was livid! The first place we went, "Yahmon Adventures" they could not accommodate us at all. We wasted much valuable time. People on our bus were shouting to be taken back to the boat. Total bull sh%t. Bimini was better. No restrictions, just wear a mask, wash hands etc. We witnessed lots of pot smoking on board. Several pro baseball caps worn in the dinning room. (Supposedly not allowed)

Cabin Review

Zero privacy. Horrible, loud, profane rude passengers across the hall.
